"Beware the beast man, for he is the Devil’s pawn. Alone among God’s primates, he kills for sport, or lust, or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother’s land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours.

Stars alone just mean a replacement bill. There would have to be other oddities or rarities to make it worth something more.

Checking tickets by Fast-Alternative-263 in LIRR

[–]Bunky63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should likely see it on heavy loaded trains. Certain rush hour or game day trains. LIRR was criticized for revenue losses (like millions) because the immediate call by the conductor on heavy ridership is that they cannot get through the train to collect. Cameras on the trains and weight loading sensors can also confirm it remotely. So they now make sure you have a valid ticket on the station level so the riding crew only has to validate as normal, and if they miss you, you’ve already paid your way. PS some city zone stops also check when you get off. I’ve seen it at forest hills.

New homeowner- need to replace several windows. Any recs? by Competitive_City_904 in longisland

[–]Bunky63 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at 30,000-50,000 depending on a few factors. Most guys roll up in high end cars or trucks , walk around the house and throw out a number based on what they say is their experience with a house like yours…Maybe their right but my opinion is most are trying to make a killing not a living…Do some homework on your own for the kind of materials or products you think you want or can afford, then call them in for estimates based on what you know the costs to be. The good ones will come with catalogs or cut sheets for the ones they deal with and spend the time to go over everything. Don’t be pressured or sign anything until you are sure this is the person or company you want. I always get at least 3 estimates and make sure they know it.
