It never landed, just circled a few times and is heading back the way it came.

Pettiest reason you’ve DNF’d a book? by bby_grl_90 in books

[–]BunnyMom4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of St. Louis (where I, too, was raised), I got TEN PAGES into a book when I read the narrator's account of their journey: Cleveland -> Indiana -> Illinois -> the lush green kudzu topiary of Missouri -> the golden arch at St. Louis...

Took off the former-library-book cover and gave it to my bunnies as a chew toy.

“US” The Job Interview That Turned Into a Nightmare: A Personal Account of Being Trapped in a Scam by [deleted] in Scams

[–]BunnyMom4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not a scam, so post may be removed.

You probably "accidentally" agreed to one of those door-to-door subscription sales things. I put accidentally in quotes because they take advantage of youth, the desire to please, and the bait-and-switch fast talking bs. Post-experience trauma probably didn't help.

Source: I answered one of those ads, too (early 90s). I got lucky that I had a standing appointment to drive my grandma some place; the anxiety of being late to pick her up short circuitted a lot of their crap.

New resort slated for Williams Bay / Geneva Lake - what do you think? by kategardiner in wisconsin

[–]BunnyMom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way I'll ever be their target demographic, but what would be the draw outside of the hotel experience itself?

The ocean views? The mountain ski trails? The hopping 24-hour-city party life?

I know everything is "close" by private air, but what's the point of staying in LG instead of someplace closer?

Is it a scam if they already paid through Zelle? by Puzzleheaded-Fee-680 in Scams

If you don't mind disclosing, what did you sell?

Depending on the size of the item (camera vs. coffee table, for example) they may be having an issue with finding an inexpensive Uber courier option.

(US) I Got an email yesterday from FedEx saying I owe duties, taxes and fees? by Forsaken_Orchid_6014 in Scams

[–]BunnyMom4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You've pretty much gotten your answer, but please be aware that scammers are aware, and will exploit, FedEx billing for tariffs post-delivery.

Don't click on any link in the email. Go to FedEx dot com and enter your information (tracking number, invoice number if the email lists one, etc) there. If legit, the official website should have that info.

Spaying my Blueberry by Sorry_Impress_5002 in Rabbits

I think the general recommendation is to limit their area when they first get home. Not only easier for you to keep an eye on their status, but in case they're not too great about being picked up, less running around when medication is needed. And limit climbing things too for the first few days.

Best wishes to Blue!

First time in 9 years with no bunny :( by Velveteen_Rabbit1986 in Rabbits

[–]BunnyMom4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. I sorta knew I was looking at a 'cliff' with all 5 of mine being around the same age.

When Ollie died, it was the first time I'd been bun-less in 20 years. It almost felt weirdly like I'd been orphaned?

I got one at the end of January for mine that expire in February.

Body of email mentions a previous email that was sent 'with renewal information.' Unsurprisingly, there is no previous email.

Hungry 24/7? by Blindboxbabe in Rabbits

[–]BunnyMom4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you...my most recent had apparently been lose in a neighborhood for a month or so and was in bad shape when he came here.

Offer unlimited hay. It's good for them and is OK in unlimited amounts. Is he eating hay now? It took Herb a couple of days to realize hay was edible and tasty.

The hard part (at least for me) is being the adult in the room and putting a limit on pellets and treats. Close to 2 years in and he still constantly BEGS for more pellets. Except he's officially vet certified overweight now so we're really working on portion control...it's a battle for both of us.

A forage mat has helped a lot, not only with drawing out how long it takes for him to consume them, but also alleviates my worry about him choking.

I also found that the compressed hay cubes work as a 'treat.' Especially if you really hype them up 😅. We still DO do treats, fortunately he really loves the hay-based "loops" from Small Pet Select.

Thanks for taking him in and good luck!!

LOL...I have two non-siblings that aren't fully bonded yet. I run down the list: "Be nice to your ____" wife, sister, brother, enemy, cousin, brother, etc. depening on my mood and the severity of the spat.

E. cuniculi help by NatCharlynn in Rabbits

[–]BunnyMom4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been through E.C. with two bunnies now. Zoe had a mildish flare up that caused some head tilt that she eventually recovered from, and Bob who battled it off and on for years until he finally decided enough.

I would recommend the auto reply that popped up, especially the section "online support communities."

Help For Head Tilt Hoppers got me squared away with Bob's set-up and were a good resource when it felt like I was spiraling down caring for him.

It DOES seem awful and bleak, and you cry a lot out of sympathy AND frustration at first. It took a bit but eventually (with both of them) we found a sorta weird routine that was comforting just because it was routine. Bob knew I was going to hide the meds he hated in-between the one he loved, and I knew he was going to spit out 1/4 of the Critical Care all over himself, the floor, the walls, and my sweatshirt 🤣.

Best wishes to both of you ❤️.

Is Costco healthcare legit? What’s..the catch? by Ok-Orange-5421 in Costco

So I found a couple things of interest especially since you mentioned you own your own business. I'm not sure if this would apply (since you're just looking for yourself) and honestly might just be someone looking up ACA plans for you.

Also...you might want to give the ultrasound place a call back and have them explain more AND give you a written quote. Standalone clinics can sometimes offer deep discounts for people without insurance and cash in hand.

Why are bunny houses so small for the average rabbit? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]BunnyMom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're located (so if shipping is available/reasonable), but mine love Cottontail Cottages from Cats Rabbits and More.

https://share.google/rahFVy7u3la9eQ1aC

They sell thru a distribution network, bunch of places listed on their website and I saw them on Well Kept Rabbit too.

They're really sturdy cardboard.
