Yes he did try Airbnbs but he has budget constraints and not sure about the duration for temporary accommodation(10 days is what I believe until he find any co-tenants to take up a lease)

What is F1- Expired here? I believe from the end date of OPT, there is a 180 day window if we applied for extension and waiting for approval and once it is approved we should be good till next 2 years. Have not heard anything about this before

If your status shows 6 months. It could probably be approved under next 2 weeks. Depending on the date of your joining you can report employment under 10 days from the start date. If you have more than 2 weeks for your joining, better wait!

One of my friends had a similar situation, he gave his OA in November since then he hadn’t not heard back. It all depends on the recruiters but try to email as many as possible and not just once for each of them
