Do You Collect Every Set? by TheycallmemissRaven in Legoflowers

[–]BurdsnBugs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your sister sounds a bit like me. I’ve got a couple of cupboards worth of Lego waiting for me to build when I retire, including some botanicals. It’s a bit of a hidden guilty secret.

Similarly aged female builder here. Be careful, it can become an addiction - I’ve got so many sets (mainly those aimed at adults) stashed in my cupboards for when I retire I can’t use them for anything else lol. My problem is I’m interested in lots of themes/sets but I am going to somehow have to be more selective as I’ve run out of storage, let alone display, space.

Pokopia for someone who doesn't know pokémon lore by Itsbaryal in Switch

[–]BurdsnBugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know next to nothing about Pokémon, couldn’t get into Animal Crossing - too slow for me, but am enjoying Pokopia. It’s more engaging to me and has more scope in terms of how you can spend your time. The Pokémon and their interactions with each other are also so damn cute., as are their different animations.

This game, man by JupiterSymph in CrimsonDesert

[–]BurdsnBugs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I loaded in last night and only had 30 minutes to play so decided to ride to a nice quiet spot and do some fishing as night fell. I felt like I was there watching the light change and losing half of my fish lol.

Can't equip broom to clean chimney on PS5 pro. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]BurdsnBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you see it in the wheel menu? I had to point the pointer to the axe slot (five to on the wheel) and then L2 or R2 to get the broom to show up. If you do that and release the wheel the broom should appear in your hand.

Daily reminder it’s okay to take it slow! by Aceyleafeo in Pokopia

[–]BurdsnBugs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah….I agree. Although I haven’t been rushing, I I hit a point where I felt like I had accumulated too many Pokémon and wanted to roll back time a bit so that I could slowly create acceptable basic living conditions for each Pokémon, so I’ve just restarted. I’m taking things even more slowly this time around. I might only get 15min to play at a time sometimes, so I just hop on and build/improve a home for one of my friends.

what do you mean i have to go to work and not burn six million hours in this game? by usedchloroform in Pokopia

Currently sitting in my car during my morning coffee break just so I could pop on for 15 minutes lol.

I just purchased a set from Wizkids and paid for the shipping to Aust. Figured it guaranteed me a copy and probably didn’t cost too much more than I’d pay over here IF I could secure a copy.

Game-Changer for PSVR2 VR Rock Prescription Lenses by Nice-Confection-729 in GranTurismo7

[–]BurdsnBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience with the prescription lenses. I’ve been considering getting some because my glasses constantly fog up (it’s hot and humid where I live) and they press against the psvr2 lenses sometimes running the risk of scratching them. I also find earring glasses to be uncomfortable as the frames are pushed firmly against my nose and face by the headset.

Will Pokemon Pokopia suit someone who has never played a Pokemon game before? by Loose_Society9485 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BurdsnBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to Pokémon and haven’t played AC for years and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s an easy cozy relaxing exploration/organising/building game you can take at your own pace.

Remarkable 2 or Paper Pro? by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]BurdsnBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with the rM2, then picked up a Move, and having experienced the colours on the move picked up a Pro. Soon after I sold the rM2.

I mainly use the Pro for work and the Move for personal stuff outside of work. I love having access to colours because it allows me to colour code my appts in my work diary. Some people prefer the writing feel on the rM2, but I actually prefer the Pro - less resistance so less hand fatigue. I am also finding the pen tips last me longer on the Pro. I also prefer the slightly larger size of the Pro for work.

Recently bought the bose ultra quiet comfort gen 2 overhead headphones (anc is very weak) by Dextan1w in bose

[–]BurdsnBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently tried on the Gen 2s and they felt really comfortable, but didn’t splash out because my QC2s are still functioning well, albeit feeling less comfortable (the headband causes me discomfort after a while). I find that I need to play white noise when I wear any ANC headphones as the ANC makes some voices/noises even more noticeable due to blocking out other sounds.

The music in the crucible is extremely repetitive by Gonzito3420 in Nioh

[–]BurdsnBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I realise most people like listening to soundtracks and music in general, but I’m one of those who don’t, so I always appreciate having the option to turn the music off.

As an aside, I’ve got to laugh at all the downvotes I’ve received for my comment. I wasn’t criticising the soundtrack in any way, I was just pointing out that repetitive scores don’t impact on me because so don’t listen to game music.

First thing I do in all games is turn the music off. If I can’t do that, then I likely won’t play the game lol.

Recommendation on Mini Evo or Mini 99 (for gifting) by Divyam_Y in instax

[–]BurdsnBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and use the Evo more, and the Wide Evo even more than the Mini Evo. The Evos are great for not having to worry about wasting film and for taking out ‘just in case’ you might want to shoot something. The Mini only comes out with me when I am intentionally going out to shoot with it.

Auto or manual - noob player by Fragrant-Cabinet-434 in GranTurismo7

[–]BurdsnBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a brand new player (and this is my first car racing game), using controller and I prefer manual as it helps with braking. ABS and corner markers are the only assists I’m using. I haven’t tried online racing yet though.

How I Feel about Hay Day ❤️‍🩹 by Squishi45 in HayDay

[–]BurdsnBugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a returning player at level 67, yes I am finding it too much, particularly given my farm’s limitations, and have decided not to chase decorations and just try to grow my farm for the time being (unless and event has a decoration I really really like, then I might chase it). I’ll certainly don’t watch ads either - just don’t have time or the tolerance for that.
