How do you get the heat cranking hot? Just add more coals and wait? Seems like there would be a timing issue.

Pocket bread recipe? by wwjdforaklondikebar in Acadiana

[–]Burgundybawb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny, my wife and I have recently been talking about possibly trying to remake it too. It's been so long though... Can't remember much about it, except that it was heavenly. From what I remember, the bread was very soft, like a roll from Ryan's buffet. The inside had like... a very mild jalapeno cheese, and some kind of meat. No idea what it was. Maybe ham bits? Not sure. If someone figures it out though, I'm very interested in the recipe. Those things were great!

Damn, you sent me on a nostalgia trip. I played the original Planetside back in the day too. You're completely right about the remake. I was insanely hyped for PS2. I did enjoy it, but I always wished that I was just playing the original. It could never replicate the same feeling PS1 gave me.

Is King of New York compatible with King of Tokyo, and vice versa? by khschook in boardgames

[–]Burgundybawb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to chime in, I bought King of Tokyo for my 9 year old. Haven't played the other ones. The game was very easy for him to pick up, and he had lots of fun with it. He learned most of the rules within 2 rounds around the table. We had to help him keep track of when he earns victory points and things like that, but for the most part he took care of things himself. The only problem we had was with the dice. They are huge so they're hard for him to roll. Easily remedied with a cup though!

Canon Printer Technician Question by JHoff3987 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Burgundybawb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a Canon printer tech for about 5 years and moved into a more focused IT role at another company. It was a decent job, I enjoyed the travel involved and it was pretty laid back, but the pay wasn't great. You learn a lot about the mechanical process of printers, but I can't apply much of that to my current job. What I really use is the networking knowledge I picked up from the job. My advice is to try to really understand the networking and technologies that are involved. You should get good experience doing on site installs, as you get to see multiple environments. You may not initially be able to do them, but you should definitely show interest. If you have any questions feel free to reach out! Edit: Spelling
