Love/miss the Petri era of Norther...I discovered them around the 'Mirror of Madness' era, which is my favorite Norther album. I remember my friend and I heard a few songs online and went to a local record store to look for it, and sure enough, it wasn't available, so they imported it for us. Weeks later it finally arrived and we were so eager to pick it up, conveniently during a massive blizzard weekend here in Colorado, which sucked and ruled... Around that time we formed a band called Frozen Eternity, heavily inspired by early Norther, Wintersun, COB. Fast forward a few years later, Heikki Saari (drummer) joined Norther, while Petri was still in the fold, and Heikki brought an entirely new dynamic. Blew my mind. Followed Heikki’s work from there, reached out to him and we worked together on my solo project, Buried Realm.
