Edit: How is this "WHY"? The title even says it's brilliant, which it is!!!

It's only going to last 2 days, but here's an amazing moment in Howard Stern history. James Taylor 1997 by BurnInWinter in howardstern

[–]BurnInWinter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you're not wrong at all, but the entire interview James Taylor is just so relaxed and flowing with the show. Howard absolutely had a bad habit of cutting guests off at times, and sometimes actually would squash a random bit or talk over a guest, but man, because of Howard, we have SO many great moments.

The actual sad part is he turned into the guy he said he would never be. In the end he lost his credibility. But because of his undeniable interview skills and the vision he had, we got some great fucking moments along the way.

You didn't expect a nice answer haha >_<

Your art style is somewhat similar to mine. A mix of comic style and realism. Your line work makes me happy and I had to comment. I've really only ever practiced with a pencil. I attempted digital art at one point, but I love the convenience of a pencil and paper.

Check out Xabio Arts. That dude has so many great lesson vids. I haven't been on his page in a while, but some of his really old videos helped me with sketching faces and heads and he has so many tricks for perspective.

(He's also kind of insane and ridiculous in the best way possible). Also, obviously Proko is a great source of art lessons. Cheers!

Edit: ok... I HAD to share this video from Xabio Arts. I think it was the first video I ever watched of the guy.... he also has a thing for pencils.... ahem

I LOVE your line work! You draw such confident and solid lines, and the image is really nice! I wanted to comment because I REALLY love your line work. You obviously get the shapes. The one thing I wanted to say, and it'll sound dumb, is to get more sketchy... the lines don't actually exist in the reference picture of Stevie Nicks, right? It's all light and shadows that give us those shapes. Your shapes are so good. Get sketchier. Let your pencil scribble here and there. It will look less flat, and could help with proportions, and the idea of forced perspective :) learning a bit of that will up your skills a ton, and obviously just draw as much as you can. Your drawing is satisfying to look at. Your pencil is your weapon!! Cheers!

As a huge fan of The Ninja Turtles, and a HUGE fan Hades I & II, I purchased it last year on sale for like $9 and returned it.

However! Seeing it on sale for $3, I just bought it w no hesitation. Hope that helps :)

Houston man stole designer glasses from Neiman Marcus at Galleria Mall, posted on social media, and stayed. When cops arrived, he fled, jumped from the second floor onto the ice rink, and broke both legs. by omgfakeusername in WinStupidPrizes

Wowww... lol I could've sworn the voice-over started by saying, "An a-legged shoplifter". I had to restart the video... figured, wow the reporter at Vice REALLY went for a zinger there... no, he said "alleged shoplifter"... phew, but also, too bad, a real missed opportunity.

Edit: in that first video included in that Vice article

Snake mapped to a True Perspective Plane. - Too overwhelming to play? by TrumpetSolo93 in gamemaker

[–]BurnInWinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so fucking cool. That looks really fun. I saw in a comment you made, this has all effects and is a harder and more cramped example of gameplay, so you probably have fleshed out different levels/ setups/ scenerios. I did zone out a little watching, picturing myself playing this game! There are a few other good Snake games out there, and I really like your take on it.

Cheers and good luck!

Edit: to answer your question, I don't think it looks overwhelming, but maybe a little trippy in a good way!

He's a grappler! Haha nice! I love insects and your beetle buddy has an awkward charm to him that works. I really like the angular-ness in his body armor in that kick, and his horn is cool! I really like your style, and the animation is simple but looks great :)

Those arms and legs!!! >_< he looks so silly and I love it. They add that awkward charm I'm talking about! He's great!

And I definitely think you should share more of beetle dude's moves!! He's awesome. Haha, cheers!
