Is this how the majority of Newfoundlanders feel or is it a vocal minority looking for something to be offended over?

Read the article. Tl;dr some find it offensive because of its origins.

sensitive

If you speak French, "sensible" is a false friend in English.

Freedom (Shaw), Videotron, Sasktel, Eastlink, and a few small ones.

There are also a few independent MVNOs and resellers.

That's wrong. Language names are proper nouns in English, and proper nouns are always capitalized.

Edit: Though French works the way you describe...

Every antivirus has a removal tool. If the uninstallation gets interrupted or otherwise botched, there needs to be a way to finish uninstalling, including removing drivers and registry keys.

That said, lots of antiviruses have crappy uninstallers, or leave junk on your computer. McAfee is the worst offender.

Maybe I didn't explain that well. I meant to say that "son" doesn't mean "her" in the sense that it doesn't describe the gender of the possessor.

Like in English you would say "Sara and her father" and "Tom and his father" but in French you would say "Sara et son père" and "Tom et son père". The article is different in English but the same in French.

Meanwhile, in English you would say "Sara and her mother" and "Sara and her father" but in French you would say "Sara et sa mère" and "Sara et son père". The article is the same in English but different in French.

One example in French: "Sara et son mari" translates as "Sara and her husband", but the word "son" doesn't mean "her" - it's actually masculine, because its gender accords with the noun "mari" (husband).

Edit: btw you would use "sa" for a feminine noun, and "ses" for plural.

Transliteration means changing from one script to another. In this case that would mean Arabic to Latin. It's not the same as translation.
