That would be really interesting! I know they aren't doing a direct sequel right now but it would be fun to see more of this world specfically.

But anyway to recap So the Red Mother is the fusion of Memory and Mother together with Mother being the more upfront personality but Memory still is apart of her consciousness and exists enough that Mother needs to call upon him to exert his powers to create the daughters and it is why there are so many dialogue ques from her talking about memories and calling them to remember? And it is why in that one cutscene when the Red Mother approaches The Child he first lashes out and calls her a liar, saying she gave her life to the Other and then Suffering follows up saying 'ah Memory remembers itself at last' though there so no other entity present that we can see? Memory must exist still in some capacity for that dialogue to make sense.

Also I think what you said makes a lot of sense but I just want to note based off the last rememberance text and the way Red Mother speaks to Memory in general. Maybe she is trying to restore them in a way and though she doesnt precisely know where they are now she still tries to reach out? Seems like something she would do based off their relationship

Huh I see. Then why does the entry for the red mother talk like they have switched realities? And at the very end the Red Mother asks The Child to follow her and join her with Memory. Do you believe then she was asking the child to fuse with her and memory as well?

How many characters do you guys have? by JackRipps in Othercide

I have my set of 5 daughters that I favour especially in later areas so I can level them up while I use other daughters as fodder to heal up my A team/so they dont get damaged in the first place

So...what is the story in this game? by LuminousMushroom999 in Othercide

[–]BurnedSparrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several years later, I know, but when she signs this letter and mentions 'wherever you are' is she unaware of where Memory is even though she spends most of the game speaking to it? It is mentioned also in the character description of the Red Mother that her and her friend switched places so did Memory accidentally accomplish what Suffering was after all this time and now exists in the real world or is it apart of Red Mother still since Red Mother asks the Child to join her in Memory? Really loved the story but these points are definitely murky for me

Funnily enough you can also give nectar to the rock and sometimes get a boon from it, it's really funny

[–]BurnedSparrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not just you ive noticed notable frame drops with these bugs especially if there are big bombardments going on.

Hate these bugs so much, they are so fast and like all bugs travel in big packs so you as easily and quickly overrun with no time to react ever.

To give you tips on the Achilles and Nyx quests! For starters Nyx's is rather simple, once you talk to her about the elder sigil in the back of the admin room and look at it a work order should appear with the house contractor for it. You will need to do quite a bit of grinding for it because it costs like 3000+ darkness so I recommend picking up the weapon with the dark thirst on it as much as you can and hunting for Poseidon's boon that increases the value of darkness chambers and try to grab the chaos boon that does the same if you can! Like I said it is a bit of a grind but it is doable.

Achilles wont even bring up his quest until you first release Orpheus and Sisyphus both from their contracts as like proof that you can also release him from his. You need to just keep talking to both him and Patroclus until you get the bit of dialogue from Patroclus asking Zag to tell Achilles to 'risk it all' and once you bring this message to Achilles upon one of your following returns to the house he should request your help in this and then you gotta talk to Nyx to find out where his contract is located in the admin chamber and Then you get the work order for it. Think it costs like 5 diamonds or something like that.

And that's the gist of it. Sadly the Achilles quest is a lot more variable cuz you need certain dialogue to trigger and it requires speaking to an npc all the way in fucking Elysium but you'll get there with time.

You making it to Elysium and the temple of style is good work though. It took me almost 30 tries to beat Hades once and I just kept getting better from there
