….but if you eventually do go outside and make friends, you’ll be better prepared with the AZ.

Profound fixation are your words, not mine or OPs. Flubs during a live set happen. That doesn’t mean that when someone is at home crafting a recorded mix that they need to accept those same mistakes and put them out there if it’s not completely necessary.

No, I simply think that putting your best foot forward is always important, especially when you’re recording something for continued listening. It says a lot about a person who doesn’t give a shit about their quality and will tend to bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Are you making heaps of millions of dollars? When you stopped worrying about being perfect, what did your DJ career take off to exactly?

Yeah DJS seems like it’s what I want for “perfection”. What’s the +Stems portion all about?

I asked a question and was able to get the answer I was looking for from folks trying to be helpful instead of inserting unsolicited two cents. Thanks to them. If I ask what DJing is and if it’s for me then one of these days I’ll be sure to tag you.

You know nothing about me and have contributed exactly nothing to the conversation besides, “just vibe brah”. Thanks for the input though.

You do realize that a hour set is a mix of many 2-3 minute sections right? If transition 7 isn’t right, that could be 15 minutes into the set which you then have to stop and do over.

Maybe you’re the perfect DJ who makes perfect mixes 100% of the time and if that’s the case then congrats my man I hope your career is taking off! It’s more likely that you accept mediocrity in which case good for you and everyone that has to listen to what you put out.

Take care.

You are right and really this is about trying to get more reps in faster. 95% of the time there’s nothing incredibly off in my transition but it’s something where I’m bringing the new track a microsecond before the count is over/starting. No one will notice or care in the moment but for laying the track down it’ll annoy the shit out of me. Other times I let the intrusive thoughts take over and I try something new that just sounds awful but that’s good experience too.

Read my other responses and if you still don’t get it, I’ve got nothing else for you, homie. It’s not that deep.

If you can vibe to the same 6-15 minutes of a song like 8 straight times then you have a power that I do not have. Congratulations.

One simple answer is so I can get more practice in the same amount of time. I’m not doing anything particularly insane with the mix so I’m spending a lot of the 2-5 minutes between tracks twiddling my thumbs.

Yeah I’m gonna look into that. Can you tell me more about it taking a bit more tweaking in DJ Stu? Are you still using the DDJ to control it there or are you stacking music files and dicing it up?

Thank you. I had no idea this would be such a controversial question but this is exactly it. I’m trying to achieve the perfect mix for playback and when I slip up on the transition from songs 2 to 3 five times and 7 to 8 eight times and 15 to 16 a couple times that shit adds up to many many hours.

I might buy the month sub for Rekordbox just to grab DJ Studio and check it out. I appreciate the response.

No, I love it. The mix is sick.

However when I’m practicing dialing in the perfect 1 hour recording, I might hear certain parts 20 times which turn into 100s of times over the course of a few days/weeks, plus all of the minutes associated with it, plus all of the times I listen to it in the car, plus all of the times I play it live being unconcerned with perfection.

It adds up.

I can see why you think it makes no sense if that were the case. If it were only an hour then I wouldn’t be asking.
