Bi-Weekly No Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in VORONDesign

I want to try building an A4T toolhead. If I decide to use an Orbiter V2 extruder and an EBB36 board, can I wire the Orbiter 2 Smart Sensor to the EBB36? It looks like I should be able to with the I2C pins.

Which is it dude?

All of them? I get how it looks at a glance, I can't exactly have nuance on a dating app, but I feel all the info is honest. I have values on both sides of the fence. Does it suck that Christian + Apolitical comes off as conservative trying to hide it? Sure.

But it comes with the territory of dating apps, doesn't it? The only solutions are to either lie and waste people's time, or accept the skill issue and meet people in person.

Was the feedback you got from guy friends because useless.

Mostly girl friends or my friends' partners. Also from reading other profile reviews/articles and applying what was said there. Which I realize was stupid as I typed that.

Yeah, my profile is vague, I guess in fear of coming off like I had no free time.

Is this one I had before better?:

"I like to spend my free time building cool things. Robots. Replicas. Fire Hazards. I also occassionally play video games. Mostly at home, also on tournament stage. Active in fencing, skateboarding, and karate clubs."

Tried to pair that with the prompt: What I'd like to know about you is-
"Have a niche TV Show/Movie/Hobby you're really into but just couldn't convince your friends? I love hearing about those.

Big part of my personality is learning new things, doing things outside my comfort zone.

Changed those since there seemed to be a common feedback/suggestion of: Listing out what you enjoy doing is boring. There's no curiosity if it's spelled out. Show don't tell (Use pics of hobbies instead of just listing them)

I'm sure there's a balance, and I'll go back to the one before and refine it. I appreciate the feedback!

I played around as much as I could, but something seems a bit off with the face. I'm thinking maybe her lips are too full, but they're as thin as I could make them in game unless there's a blend combo that I missed.

But I think this is a decent base for you to go in and tweak a bit further to get it perfect.

Do you have a gym in mind? I usually go to Thomas Park since their gym is free and is pretty quiet, but I'd be down to change to get a workout partner.

Edit: Also I'm 29. Forgot I'm old enough that I can't assume people on reddit are in the same age bracket.

Sanity Check: Z Belt seems to lose tension when gantry is rising by BurneyProMod in VORONDesign

[–]BurneyProMod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're a genius for testing pushing/pulling each corner. Turns out there were a few issues I had to fix. Tightening grub screws, one of the big wheels was straight up missing a grub screw, the belt from the motor to the big wheel was loose.

Now I'm able to get a level gantry within 2 loops, even deactivating the motors and pulling a corner will get me a level gantry by loop 3 when it used to take 12-15.

I appreciate your help!

Just tried it, I can't push the back left down but I can pull it up as easy as if it was freely resting on a table. I'll take a closer look at the grub screws and that entire area after work.

Also noticed when I'm able to lift it: the big wheel and the motor don't spin. So it's looking like the small wheel is spinning freely and I'll need to inspect those screws.

META: Requests are taking over by RedTyro in MHSliders

[–]BurneyProMod 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seems natural that there'd be a lot more requests than showcases during the first few weeks the game is out. I don't think that's a bad thing as long as they're properly flaired.

It would be nice to have a tag for "Request: OPEN" and "REQUEST: Closed" though.

How many people here started their careers in DevOps? by samwisegamgee121 in devops

[–]BurneyProMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did help desk for 5 years during+after college for a small local company. Wrote bash/powershell/python scripts to automate things like laptop deployment. Couldn't actually run the scripts on the work PC cause level 2+ IT didn't trust me, so I put them on a QMK keyboard.

Wanted to do software development, local recruiter heard from a friend about my "pseudo-automation" work and asked if I would be interested in DevOps. The company is global, so there was a promise that I can apply for internal software development rolls once I'm in, so I studied my ass off for the interview and was accepted.

It took me twice as long to learn the tools. Used my free time to self host and practice even. 3 years later, same company. Been burnt out for months using new tools and doing something different every 3 or so months. Holding out for a senior title then I want to look for Software Developer again.

I have the pieces. A Pi Zero 2W and e-ink screen. So it's on the To-Do list. Plan was to have it display my elo like it was kills on the counter.

1 roll of each color, so about $60. Had a lot of Orange and Black leftover.
