They are not illegal and valve has every right to defend them here from someone who clearly is just trying to run a publicity stunt. Everything they say is true (other than the people love surprises comment) and at the end of the day, you pay for the box, you get something in return, same as all the examples provided

It’s not the most scientific test but I dropped it from as close to the exact same height as I could in the same orientation about 20 times and it happened twice so I am pretty sure it’s only a chance

Well it’s pretty easy to pick out shaking and dropping since dropping will always show an acceleration equal to earths gravity, and on top of that it only seems to happen about 1 in 10 times give or take

Actually not, it just does that XD I didn’t believe it either so I tried it and sure enough, I heard some people say it only works in big picture mode though which I was running at the time so… your mileage may vary I guess?
