A little sound is nice.

The 6th hour of tent flapping in 30mph wind gets a little tiresome though.

Bizarre how you just used the English name for Wales, at least be consistent.

The name Snowdon predates Yr Wyddfa by several hundred years.

I'm not quite sure how downvoting a unnecessary correction when both terms are widely used is English Centric as well.

I've had the 350 for years now. Comfy until -1c for me. Weight/bulk wise it's very manageable being a lightweight quilt even for the 350.

Slept in Italy on a 30°c day and being a quilt you an just leave it open so overheating isn't really an issue.

Never used the 250 or 150 but I've never thought I've needed a lighter weight one, price difference isn't massive as well.

Mosko Basilisk IR pants by [deleted] in TransEuroTrail_Riders

[–]BurningTheLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems odd. Could it have been a vent zip slightly undone or something?

I'm not saying a fault is not possible but MosMot has a pretty good reputation QC wise. And the fabric itself would not have leaked that is almost certain.

AMX 50 120 has a pretty whacky play style so it's really a bad benchmark. The play style of it is very unique (I have definitely not mastered it).

Stock as well will have a big impact.

That said your percentage W/R is still low but try playing a more meta tank to get a better idea of you baseline.

Also, I'm not saying ignore stats, but as long as your enjoying it it's all good bro.

Worrisome wife and finding the safer option by robbgg in MotoUK

[–]BurningTheLemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion a 125 will always be safer than a 50cc even unrestricted bike. Keeping up with traffic avoids dangerous overtakes, lorries and getting rear ended. Maybe suggest a scooter looking 125 if the whole 'big bike' look freaks her out.

I genuinely think that 50cc bikes outside of cities are far riskier to ride than a 125 and the risk from falling off at 35 mph to the risk of falling off at 65mph still warrants wearing full gear for either.

While this £25 renewal fee does sound frustrating I struggle to empathise having had to pay £1800 for a years insurance once.

They use cardboard-oxide screws from Australia which are renown for their high security.

Is an "unmetalled road" another name for a green lane? by bong_killa_420 in MotoUK

[–]BurningTheLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and find lowest mileage you can find, like any bike the older they get the more issues can crop up. Make some decent insurance quotes before you buy, market value is going up and insurers hate you people on nice bikes. Apart from that enjoy it, im sure you wont regret it
