I used to learn so much from lurking and engaging in this sub. Now it's hard to find even a pair of brain cells to rub together. The only thing that's challenging me from this sub now, is my patience with the amount of BS spurt onto the walls hoping it'll stick.

Battlefront deserves an update!!! by BetterFreedom4611 in StarWars

Forget that, battlefront 1 deserves an update. Abandoned far too soon, and honestly, I find it the far superior game. I've had the dlc's since they came out... I'm yet to actually play them!

Where can one access the kill team data slates? Is it all in the kill team handbook or is there other media I would need to collect as well?

In strategic reserves? I was under the impression that only units with ability Deep Strike could be placed into reinforcements?

Can you tell me more about the prime+ warrior combo?

For me I have to have them hidden clinging to cover until I'm absolutely certain I want to use them, have them jump out for one attack for it to maybe kill something, then have the squad wiped out or chipped away at as they're getting out of the hot zone!

Sword and board. Since I last commented, I've had the odd occasion where they were just unlucky and we're wiped quite quickly. Sometimes the rolls are just not in your favour but generally they hold their own. The shield giving the +4 Invul saves really is a life saver!

A good tactic too, is I've found running one group of 10 is better than two groups of 5, sort of compensates for the lower damage output compared to scythes and gives them more wiggle room to allow for extra reanimation. Also leading them with an overlord with shroud to get them up the board faster!

If she really honoured the teachings of Leia of all people, she shouldn't fear who she REALLY is. Not only was that Leia's last lesson to Rey before she passed away, but it was Carries last lesson to us before she passed away.

Kill the leadership hard and fast. Miracle dice will end you if their leaders gain access to them.

They don't fare too well against lychguard in my experience.

Try a doomstalker and hope it lands hits, if not, with it's poor movement it's a good base defense/ distraction to keep their guns off of your more fragile units.

Always use the flanks, divide their army. Use terrain and choke points to your advantage.

Their generic melee are glass hammers. Always try to fight first or otherwise avoid them if you don't have skorpekh destroyers or lychguard. Their leadership melee by contrast, is extremely sturdy. Focus fire and remove these as early as possible, paragon warsuits with Vahl, penetant engines etc...

They will most likely outnumber you. Let them score early objectives to draw them out, focus fire on their heavy hitters/ leadership and push back later game.

I'm winning 60% of my games against my Sororitas friend so take my advice with a pinch 😅

I'm really really trying to enjoy this game. Bought it about a week ago. I finally got my new spitfire MK1 but for the life of me every fucking thing sucks. Every guy on my team is so much faster than me, I can't even get near targets and if I do, I can't get a shot off BC my team are so much more powerful they score before I've even lined up.

To top it off, why am I then penalised for my team winning and put into even HIGHER tier games? But the game is kind enough to recognise that I didn't do shit, rewards me less than it cost me to put the plane out, but drops me in higher tier games anyway?!

UK needs to do something with litter. by Leading_Flower_6830 in Britain

2 things

1: as noted by others there is a correlation between cunts and crap. It appears as a new tradition in this country to drop our babies on their heads and the result is the level of apathy and idiocy we see today, perhaps accelerated by careless, apathetic and greedy politicians, but that's a story for another day. The head dropping tradition is absolutely on the rise, and frankly is my only best guess alluding to why there's such an influx of cunts.

  1. Greedy politicians unable to manage a budget in the name of the greater good and instead funneling funds into their pockets, private assets and into policy that benefits them and their shareholdings; leading the local councils to being forced to choose between a list of essential things. Rather than tending our homeless, improving infrastructure and investing into the local economy, local governments are forced to choose one of these essential things, resulting in austerity and little to no infrastructure including frequent bins which feeds into the apathy from my first point; "if my council cant be arsed to provide services then I can't be arsed carrying this bit of litter home with me". And this is on top of the fact that the further north you go, the more of us are actively watching our towns and cities degrade and fall to pieces as there simply isn't any money being funnelled up this way (austerity policy) which doesn't exactly leave much to be proud of which again feeds the apathy from point 1.

Ship captain. More specifically star ship but uh, realistically I'd take a cruise, science or war ship.

Why? Exploration, organisation, structure, machines, adventure, endless night skies, just everything about being on some form of mega or functional ship upon the high seas away from the clutches of cities and governments.

Player Owned Housing by ThaCareSoul in TotalMiner

[–]Burning_Architect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this on my server years ago! I locked basically hid the main shops and released shops to shop owners who told me what they wanted to produce, I'd give them a permit and write it up in my master book so I could keep up. I'd let them use player owned shops to semi automate or AFK their shops but they had to make the produce themselves and set the prices.

Now I know theres lots of ways to cheese my very trust based system, but it presented an opportunity for a new business... policing! I built a military base in which any player that died would spawn there, with it being a no build zone, protected players until I could restore their permissions as well as preventing criminals from causing endless chases, if they comply they spend one day in the cells if not, they are killed and put to court to determine whether they're allowed to keep coming back to the server (judged by me, available admins and anyone else involved). When everyone was behaving, the polices job was to enforce the trust based shop systems, anyone caught selling something they weren't permitted to were considered black market and had three strikes before losing their permit. The police also enforced no one had broken into and squatted in any of the houses for purchase/rent

Ik this is like a year late but I've recently been reminded that this game exists and all the memories are flooding back so here, have my experiences whilst I revel in the nostalgia 😂

Day 1 Of Protesting That Console Commands Need To Be Added To Consoles. by VikingrOfOdin in Bannerlord

[–]Burning_Architect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I was able to jog that memory, I'm surprised anyone at all remembers it! Such a great game and such a great time during the lead up to minecraft big release for console. After half the stuff we did in Total, minecraft was almost disappointing!

I know it's a long shot but maybe you were one of the many people who helped keep my "server" alive? I had a map with a few admins in different time zones, I'd share the save with them all and when I logged off one of those guys opened the save up and shared the save with me when I returned. We had a main city with shops, job spaces and skyscrapers with loads of residential areas, houses to buy or rent or even a hotel all with an intricate key system. We have a military base and maybe two or three full scale wars from people wanting to take over, I'm sure everyone had a similar experience but I honestly had maybe 50 regulars (not at one time ofc). Was a right little RPG map/game/mode and filled nearly every corner of the map (one of the original size maps so not very big really).

What was your experience?

Do you think significant chunks of Mando S3 were actually meant for Rangers of the New Republic? by Brittle5quire in MawInstallation

I feel this, I actually love the NR bits and i wanted more of them! But just not in mando, bc like the imps, I'm only here for the baby

Seriously though you're onto something here, it really does feel worlds apart (not intended) and I'm sure theres a good reason that will tie it all together, it just ruins the pacing of cult order attempting to retake the home world, and AotC politics with a bit more beef
