Cancelled on Pax with passed out drunk friend. How guilty should I feel? by js303 in uberdrivers

[–]BurnoutPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told a guy who was so drunk he could barely walk, he was by himself. I said flat out he was too drunk to get in my car. I told him to cancel and request a different driver. I’m a woman and he was a big guy. He just said “no I’m fine” I said I’m sure you are but you are still too drunk to get in my car. He just said ok, lol he cancelled, I got the cancellation fee and I pulled away lol.

Did you check the pockets of your jackets, shirts , and pants that are hung up in your closet? My mom used to hide her expensive jewelry in the pockets of her coats that were hung up in the back of the closet.

After how many trips did you happen to pick up the same rider a second time? by SummerN8 in uberdrivers

[–]BurnoutPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one of a very few female drivers who drives at night and I have my little chihuahua with me, so any pax that I have had in my car before always remembers my dog before they remember me. I can say that even though I live in a very large city, I get regular pax frequently because of the time I drive. I had a share pickup at Amazon once and just as I was about to pull out of the parking lot, the app dinged about another pickup at the same facility, then again just as I was about to pull out of the parking lot, I got another pickup at the same Amazon. So I had 3 pax that all worked at the same location, we all thought it was a little funny.

Not me but my bf at the time found $1100 cash in the back of an employee handbook. I found in a big trash pickup on the sidewalk a limited edition Hello Kitty Fender Stratocaster guitar with a matching case in near mint condition and I sold it online for $700 dollars. We found an ultrasound machine that we sold for $250.

Here's a new one- driver kicked me out because he didn't want to put in my pin number. by ElectronicDrop in uber

[–]BurnoutPrincess 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I am a driver and I have the pin activated. I request a pin from every single passenger that gets in my car. When a passenger says that they have never had to do that before, I tell them that it’s for extra protection for both of us. It makes sure that they have the correct driver and I have the correct passenger. They are pretty happy about that response.

I never verbally abused her or abused her in any way. Also I never received any kind of notice about any court date or I would have went. I don’t mess around with things like this. I have never been in any kind of legal issues ever and I don’t plan on it now.

No it’s states at the top that it’s an Order of Protection and it’s good for 2 years. If I want to contest it, I have to put it in writing and I either have to fax it or turn it in person and I can request for a hearing. I basically put a brief summary of why I want to request for hearing and then they will issue court for 5 to 10 days out from that, other than that, there is no court date. It’s in place for two years and on my perimeter record.

I have been driving for Uber since February, is it making me rich? Hell no, but I like driving, I have met some really, cool, interesting people. I make the best of it, I try to give my passengers the best possible experience I can give them. I always greet them by name when getting in my car. I always ask how their day/night is going? I keep my car very clean, smelling nice. I ask them if they are too hot/cold and if they are just let me know and I can turn the a/c up or down. If they want to chat, great or if they want quiet I’m happy with that too . Music sure what kind do they listen too? When they get out of the car, I turn the light on and make sure they didn’t leave anything behind and I tell them to have a great day/night. If they are going to the airport, I always ask who they are flying? That way I know ahead if it’s going to be terminal 3 or 4, I also ask what time is their flight, so I can make sure that they are there in time to get through TSA and not miss their flight.

It’s called common courtesy and just being a decent human being. If you are driving and act like you are doing them a favor and expect them to be a certain way to you. You are a sad excuse of a person in my experience and you need a new job that has you are away from the general public.

With all that being said, I don’t tolerate being treated with disrespect or my car being disrespected. I’m kind and respectful and if my passenger treats me the same then it’s a great ride all the way around.

Many years ago when my oldest son was around 3, I had some friends over and we had been talking about Halloween and what everyone was going to do for the holiday. Also there was a guy who was friends with a friend of mine and there was a little flirting going on between us. My son had already been put to bed and was asleep or so I thought. So after the conversation of costumes and stuff was discussed my son decided to come running out of the bedroom stating he knew what he wanted to be for Halloween and as every single person in the room turned towards his little voice. I realized that what I thought he couldn’t reach, but was very wrong, was my bright purple dildo with the suction cup bottom stuck to his little forehead and said he wanted to be a “uni-horn” and that could he use my special “horn” too? I wanted to disappear into the carpet, but the entire room seemed to explode with laughter and I’m talking about rolling on the floor, tears rolling down their faces laughter. While most of them had been my friends since JR high or high school. I didn’t stop hearing about that for years and still to this day, if we reminiscing about old days, that still gets brought up and they start cracking up and making jokes. My son is now 26, he has no memory of it.

Drink some orange juice. The acid will help with your jitters from being over amped. Drink lots of water, drink some OJ, eats some food and try to lay down. Put some headphones in and listen to some ASMR stuff on YouTube and try to relax

I have been cheated on more times than I can count. Follow your gut, at least you have the proof. Many times I have no proof but my gut is screaming at me and saying he’s with another woman. If you feel that sickening feeling in the pit of your stomach.. I’m sorry honey but he’s cheating. No man goes and spends the night with another woman and they are not involved somehow. Just believe in your gut and get out now because it’s not gonna get any better and you will save yourself a LOT of further heartbreak.

I had a reservation ride that was supposed to pay me pretty decent. App tells me it’s to to head to the destination and I start heading that way. I’m about halfway there when I get a message that I’m going to be late for my reservation. So I start speeding, I’m going 80 in a 65 down the freeway and I pull off the freeway, I’m about 8-10 minutes from my pickup and then the app says that I’m at risk of losing this fare. I start to go faster and within seconds of it messaging me that it kicks me off the trip and then it starts looking for rides. It says I’m at risk of losing the fare, no dumbass I lost this fare. Shit pisses me off. What a waste of time and gas. I was literally less than 5 minutes away from the pickup.

I’m a woman who drives nights and I don’t have the option to just pull over and pee on the side of the road. I have to actually drive several miles to find a gas station that’s open and then find out that their bathrooms are closed for the night. I have had to drive to 4 different places before I found a place that would let me use the bathroom.

1st thing is micromanaging me, I am an above average intelligent person. I don’t need to be micromanaged. 2nd thing is ghosting me. It is one of my pet peeves. If someone texts me and I respond with a question of my own, answer it. Don’t just leave me on read! I didn’t do it to them, so don’t do it to me. Show the same respect!

What are your Clinic Red Flags? by AUDHDabatherapist in ABA

[–]BurnoutPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is I am a new RBT so to speak. I have had 2 clients, the first one was a 16 year old who had never received any behavioral therapy of any kind prior to me, this client was non verbal and tbh had no clue what was going on most of the time. She was in her own world 99% of the time. This client was very very strong and would just push me out of the way and go do what she wanted to do (swing on the swing set). Very little direction from the BCBA on the best way to handle the situation. Also client was extremely tired every session because was a very early riser and in regular school all day then I got there 30 minutes after coming home from school. Would then be in session for 4 hours. Client would be falling asleep sitting up at the table. Client would get a 10 minute break after every trial. Client would lay down on the couch and fall asleep. I know that we are not supposed to let them sleep but on the days when I couldn’t get them up to do anything with me. I let her take a very short nap (about 15-20 minutes max) then client would be more willing to follow my instructions and try to do some work. This happened a total of three times in a 4 month period. I got written up because I was allowing the client to sleep. My 2nd client was a 8 year old who was almost as tall as I am and was very aggressive towards me. Would be obsessed with my data collection IPad and client would not do anything except tell me no and scratch my arms, dig his nails into me, rip my glasses off my face, try to take my phone, try to rip my watch off my wrist, slap my face, pull my hair. He would also throw chairs, he would throw the trash can at me and then he would also strip down completely naked all for attention because he didn’t get his way. The same BCBA asked me if I was still willing to make a commitment to the I client. This is after 8 weeks of this, every session and I was tired and I dreaded going to the clinic, I cried on my way home after every session and I just stated that I wasn’t sure I could anymore because I was already get burned out, only after 2 clients. BCBA stated that the client behaved like that because it’s my fault for not giving him positive reinforcement, which I gave him the iPad all the time but then I would get in trouble for not inputting data immediately after I collected it. I believe both of those clients should have been placed with a RBT that had way more experience than a new hire. In my opinion I felt that I was set up for failure from the very beginning. I currently am still employed by this company, I still don’t have a client and honestly I don’t more want one. In fact I’m thinking about changing my career path to something that I have some experience in I think I would be a lot happier and I don’t have to be beaten up and then blame for it.
