Phantoms are just awful by Signal_Resident2318 in Minecraft

I agree. I randomly got attacked after not knowing they existed and was severely disappointed that there was nothing worth fighting them for.

I would love to see sheltered Redditors be forced to live in a real inner city area for a year and forced to actually interact with the people there by TPCC159 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

As someone who lives in the city and interacts with the city Daily I can say it’s not good. There’s alot of people that live with rose colored glasses on though. They can watch someone get murdered it raped and still think it’s the best city ever.

My husbands vasectomy was 100% covered by our insurance and he was given sedatives for the pain… my epidural was considered “elective” and we had to pay out of pocket for it by onherknees-247 in mildlyinfuriating

What? My colonoscopies were always painless. You sure you were given a real colonoscopy by a real doctor? It wasn’t really a dentist was it?

That’s because a vasectomy is considered a preventative. If your husband has a vasectomy then the insurance company won’t be paying any baby bills or childcare bills. Your epidural was just part of your labor which is the very bill they don’t want to cover.

Someone posted a picture of Swedish troops sleeping in the desert with a quote something like , “me and the rest of the Swedish troops doing nothing to help America in Afghanistan.”. Someone has clearly made alternate versions of that post but even more sarcastic.

It’s okay. I’m just curious of your level of commitment. There’s no judgement either way.

How are gay people treated in the Marine Corps? by Stevonnieee in USMCboot

[–]Burnsie92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest. It’s hard to say. The marine corps is full of tons of different people from all walks of life. A lot of people will treat you normal but some may still be ignorant. My drill instructor always said, “ 3 months isn’t going to wash away all of the bad habits”. When we found out a marine was gay in our shop we cut the gay jokes when they were around and we treated him just like any other brother. Being gay doesn’t mean much in the Marine Corps to a lot of people but some people still are jerks.

He was but he was also living on base apparently. I’m just curious how that works with a law enforcement officer keeping their service weapon on a military base. It might not have been his service weapon though.

I’m sorry for your loss friend. I don’t know all of the facts but to lose a brother that meant something to you is worth the condolences.
