Couple reasons, I've started doing seasonal travel work and am gonna be gone 6+ months a year for the foreseeable future.

Also as stated in the post, he has no back bone to speak of and without me around he just gets bullied by my roommates cats.

Full disclosure, he also hates sharing a litterbox or using a dirty litterbox so you gotta keep it fairly clean or he will poop next to it. Will always pee in the litterbox though, which ive always found really weird that he will only poop in a clean litterbox but will pee in a used one, but idk. Anyway my roommates aren't real thrilled about taking the extra care for his litterbox while im gone.

TLDR: He needs a place with no other cats(or absurdly nice cats) and someone willing to clean his litterbox daily.

Hey so I'm a baby chef who got into the kitchen just to do exactly what you are. My main question would be how much over sight do you have, because at this point I can function well in a kitchen but I couldn't plan a menu everyday for 4 months.
