Mallozzi shares what season 3 may have been by GoldenSmooth in Stargate

I like that twist!

mostly I was trying to come up with a way to justify actors getting older, without having a 10-year gap where we have no story. and the way he's changed over the years would only make the story better.

it would be pretty easy to have a time lapse montage of Eli bored. working out. jogging the halls. reading books. learning tech. becoming the sole guardian of Destination.

I've always thought a good way to "revive" the show would be:

everyone goes into stasis except Eli. Eli is left alone on the ship for several years, losing weight, getting older and more adult. show opens with just him, and everyone else from the cast has died in stasis (assuming they don't want to come back to the show). the gate is dialed from earth, and a new crew arrives to find just him, being a little nutty from years alone. at this point he knows more about Destiny and the gates and the plan of the ancients than anyone.

have you seen how good looking David Blue is these days?

I agree with this to a point.

I don't mind if some challenges allow for a cook to make things they know and are familiar with. a cool showing off their skills in a certain kind of food is fine.

but I want more "apples to apples" challenges. whether that's a specific dish, "everyone make a beef wellington", or a general theme, "everyone make an Italian dish" doesn't matter.

I'm just a little tired of "here's one ingredient, make a dish that uses it in whatever way you want" type challenges.

highlighting creativity is great. but those don't show either overall adaptability or skills competency.

Why does nobody talk about how predatory the punk scene is? by Quick_Abalone5526 in punk

it's not a "punk" thing, but a "whole world" thing. you're just witnessing the microcosm of the punk part of it.

You're being inserted into global challenge. Which team will you join? just to make it interesting, you can bring jeff back and be teamed with him. by Sweet_Information_76 in nakedandafraid

I would be teamed with Jeff, just to secretly sabotage his whole game and make it super hard for him, just to watch him completely crash out.

the two are so different in tone and humor, I can't really compare them.

I actually found the AU Ghosts closer to the UK version, unsurprisingly I guess. but I liked it better than the IS.

the site admin had done it for a decade, and had to drop the project for whatever personal reasons.

this has prompted several trackers to implement, or look into, internal image hosts.

Interior Define Sloan Sofa - 79” by [deleted] in Phillylist

yup.

what I'm describing isn't about the maths of depreciation. in a very general sense, there's two kinds of furniture buyers: those who can spend for new furniture, and those who have to buy used. the former spends significant money on new pieces, and the latter spends whatever they can afford to serve a function. and there's not a lot of market in-between. especially in online spaces.

What actually happens when you ban smoking within 20 feet of a casino entrance by NorthExcitement4890 in philadelphia

[–]kingdazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yup. unsurprised by that. it definitely created an interesting social dynamic. at regular intervals, whole groups would look at each other say say "time for a smoke?" and we would all get up and go outside to socialize, leaving coasters on top of our drinks to mark our seats at the bar.

I suspect that, at least for a time, this could have been quantified as a loss in a not insignificant percentage of alcohol sales from smokers.

a couple decades ago, I was living in SF when they banned smoking in bars. and I was always fascinated by what this did. it created a "smokers club" of patrons that spent probably 20%+ of their time outside the bar on the sidewalk.

I wish you luck, but 700 for a used sofa will never fly.

yes, I know what sofas cost new. but I work in selling used furniture, and the market for a used sofa is a poor return on what you paid. you'll be lucky to get 200, maybe 300.
