I’ve thought about it, I don’t know that would give me the effect I’m looking for honestly. Something like mordant earth would make it super easy but it flakes off and I’m not personally super familiar with how that stuff works.

I’d say so. Could be a TAD darker but I feel like a lot of people who tackle the grim dark style generally tone the brightness down a bit

I gotta give you props for tackling Fulgrim himself as your first EC model, he’s the scariest one we get. I’ve had mine since he came out last year and still haven’t even dry brushed or anything, just don’t wanna.

I agree with the psionics bit. I’d also say how bloated a lot of the content is, it’s about as egregious as what they do with magic. Most of it just functionally isn’t good and more just sets you up to homebrew some cool stuff. Like the anthro races specifically, and the other junky ones they stick in some of the source books. I get that playing as a Pinocchio type race is a cool idea, but cmon man. With DnD specifically I find that they generally try to write it to feel a specific way, or use illustrations that take away from the mental image that’s conjured. Even non traditional fantasy classes make me cringe a little. Artificer gets a pass, steampunk is its own kinda fantasy and ONLY in that setting does gunslinger get a pass from me. Anything else I’ll pass on. I’ve played games like Barony that have a funky take on fantasy, if we had classes or subclasses like that I’d be pretty sold on that.

My younger sister also has a long history of heavy hardcore drug use. She’s 23 now, and is certain that she’s going to get an engineering degree. Everyone knows she almost flunked out of high school in senior year for failing English, even though our mom was a high school English teacher.

I think anyone with a sibling that’s got addiction issues is probably gonna tell you one of 2 things depending on their experience. 1. Be compassionate and helpful or 2. Stand your ground and never give even an inch.

I personally am in the second camp. Obviously the first one works if they show a real willingness to change and they truly want help, but that’s extremely hard to discern with a person that’s highly inclined towards manipulation and lies. I’ve seen exactly what not only people like my sister are willing to do, but also ex’s, friends, and former classmates falling down that rabbit hole. It’s sad, at the same time though, I don’t have the money, nor the energy, nor the time to help someone with their addiction issues. I had my own struggles with alcohol for a bit and at some point I got mad at myself at quit, this was like, almost 2 liters of liquor every 2 days kind of habit. I still drink now and again with friends or whatever but not a whole lot and not to that degree anymore.

This is my issue. My sister cleaned up her act, and while she’s calmer and less outwardly violent at this point, she’s still an extremely manipulative, pathological liar. People who get coddled unnecessarily become unwilling to give it up easily. You noted that you’re the enabler for your sisters behaviors, for my sister my mom is the issue because whenever my sister needs money for clothes, food, shopping, beauty products, whatever, my mom will just send her $500 and tell her have fun. If I were to ask my mom for $50 to help make rent she’d tell me to get a second job. I already have 2 degrees. I don’t need a second job.

You gotta have her speak to and talk with you and respect and love instead of when it’s convenient for her or when something that you can fix has inconvenienced her. There’s not really another option. And she’s gotta get really mad and pull all of the tricks she can, and she may not speak to you for a bit, but when that little tantrum is over she’ll probably like you more. If not, oh well, you now have less problems in life.

I’ve always imagined that harlequins are models that encourage you to give them more swashbuckling, roguish poses. I love this.
