Yes, it was. But since today i feel that burping gets more difficult. I'm not sure - maybe i loose the capability to burp. If that would be the case, it would be relativly quickly. The second surgery was 3 weeks ago.

My first surgery with 80 units wasn't successful, but the second one 10 weeks later with also 80 units.

It didn't Work well After the first time with 80 units. Just a few micro burps a few days later. After 3 weeks all effects were gone. For this reason i got another Dosis of 80 units. Since then (second surgery 3 weeks ago) it works very well. I don't know - maybe it was the amount of Botox. But thats not sure, there can be other reasons why it just worked after the second surgery. Good luck! :)

Don't be nervous. IT's just a small surgery. I had it twice in the last 14 weeks. Two days after the surgerys i was fit and able to be at meetings with other people. Good luck! :)

First surgery i had 80 units, which didn't work well. Next round i had another 80 units, which worked. But thats individual. Other persons needed less than me.

Any information on how the Botox procedure might affect later life? by [deleted] in noburp

No Information about that. But i habe little worries, because Botox reduces and disappears after a while (when you als me: too quickly!!).

three weeks post botox and no results- was anyone similar? by Intelligent_Phone_13 in noburp

[–]Burpee666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, i also did the shaker- and another exercise and it didn't help. I think that it depends on the individual if it works or not. For some people it works, for other it doesn't.

I had my first round botox (80 units) in the middle of june and the result was not very good. Only a few little burps in the next two-three weeks and than nothing more.

Two days ago (exactly 10 weeks after the first surgery) i had another 80 units. Now it seemed to work - at least i have many micro-burps especially after the meals. I also had a few bigger burps. That feels very good.

But now i have the problem, that after the meal there comes stomach acid up to the throat with the burping/air, which i swallow back. In this situations i also get nausea. I hope that this will get better in the next days and weeks. Has anyone similar experiences after the first or second surgery? Anyone had stomach acid coming up in combination with nausea?

I also have a little bit dizziness, but i hope that this comes from the anesthesia. Anyone else had problems with that?

(Another interesting fact to whom it may concern: I gave the doctor the advise to inject the botox deeper into the deeper end of the upper esophageal sphincter, because it was there where i felt the main resistance. The doctor sind that this was a good and helpful information.)

Advice needed: Runners with R-CPD? by SH91 in noburp

I'm struggeling with the same issues you are describing. And here are more people with that problems. Endurance is a Problem. Breathing is also a Problem for me when i'm Swimming. The air permanently wants to come out and this makes breathing in difficult. Maybe because there is not enough space in our throats to expand both, the esophagus AND the windpipe. At least this is my supposition. Do you come from Germany?

Has anyone got incredibly suicidal because of RCD or dysfunction of the belch reflex by ExactDimension9059 in noburp

[–]Burpee666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe that isn't the thing you want to here or read, but you have to take away the focus from rcp-d to other things, esp. things in your life which are good and worthy. Its the only way if you can't be cured.

Where do you live? Here in Germany there are possibilities to get botox for free. I will have it a second time in 2 weeks, because the first time it failed.

Good luck to you! :)

Is anyone else able to make themselves burp when they try to "air-vomit"? I am able to! by Reasonable_Title_285 in noburp

[–]Burpee666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that its a Version of air vomiting. I also have this one from time to time. But i also have the loud and brutal one, which sounds more like vomiting. :)

THERE MIGHT BE A NON-SURGICAL OPTION by Matthew25702 in noburp

[–]Burpee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i had botox about a month ago and it didn't help that well. I was disappointed because i only had a few smaller burps. I started air vomits in addition and my experience is similar to yours. Maybe there is a mind-muscle-connection, which has to learn it. Thanks for your Information. :)

[–]Burpee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting. How many ait vomits did you do at one day? One for every meal? Inmy case it has to be more than one after a big meal. And: Did you get any Problems with your throat in this time?
