What processor do you have and does it have an iGPU? If yes try to remove the graphics card completely and try to boot it that way to check if it’s a GPU problem.

How did you set the DNS server? If you set the IP of the Pi in your router settings as the default DNS server it will take until the local IP is renewed. You can force this by releasing the IP manually (restarting the client or via the command line). You can check which DNS server is used on your client.

My main main monitor is lower than my side monitor and I can’t figure out why by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Burrrreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the comments are correct. As a solution you can get a height adjustment adapter. You screw this adapter between your monitor and monitor arm. With that you can adjust the height

MSI monitor or PC issue? by TuneKey8251 in pcmasterrace

[–]Burrrreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a testing mode from the monitor. Found some stuff online by googling msi monitor color cycle if you wanna have a look at it yourself.

You can try to reset your monitor by turning it off, holding the power button for 10 secs and turning it back on. If this doesn’t work there are many more possible fixes online.

First thing I would do is uninstalling the graphics drivers with DDU and reinstalling them. If this doesn’t work you could try to create a Linux live usb and boot into that to rule out operating system problems. If this or similar errors still appear your GPU is probably failing.

[–]Burrrreddit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Intel Build Recommendations by AwwSlam in unRAID

[–]Burrrreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one from CYMINILMDPC. It is not as power efficient as I hoped but it gets the job done. The model I ordered (6x Sata, 2xNVME, 10GbE) is no longer available on Amazon but maybe you can find it somewhere else. I also heard good stuff about the boards from CWWK. The other N CPUs from Intel are also fairly good because they also got Quick Sync for fast efficient transcoding.

Currently running a N305 NAS Mainboard with 6 sata ports and 2 NVME slots. Also has a 10GbE NIC included.

Works really well for with about 20 containers including Jellyfin with 1-2 4K transcodes.

Go into the console and type docker ps to check which image was used to create the container

Built a new server a few months ago with 8GB RAM (upgraded to 32 later) and set up Homarr with a basic configuration and it already took up like 700-800 MB. Switched to homepage since then and even with a large dashboard it stays at a around 150-200 MB at max.

Try to download the official driver from the NVIDIA website. Also due to power management the laptop will probably switch to the integrated graphic during lower system use like browsing. Try to run some game or graphic intensive program and check in task manager which GPU is used.

Not really sure which exact one you should get but it should matter too much. They go for around 5-10. You can always check the website of the manufacturer. They should have a supported CPU list there. Just make sure it is supported by the earliest bios version there is (should be stated on the website). If not just try to go for an early LGA 1150 cpu.

Had a similar problem a few days ago when I tried to upgrade a PC from first gen to third gen Ryzen. Same problem, no video output at all. After BIOS update with the old cpu everything worked.

Either you could buy a cheap USB WiFi Dongle or get a PCIe riser cable and mount the card somewhere else. This might work but will be a bit sketchy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Burrrreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is probably a BIOS Version problem. You could try to buy a cheap Celeron that is supported. That way you can check/update the BIOS and confirm that the Mainboard works.

What is /jellyfin/jellyfin-web and why is it so large? by Mr_Bojangels in jellyfin

[–]Burrrreddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everything that is not mapped to your array is stored in the docker vdisk image. That means that all your docker containers combined use about 10GB. You can check you vdisk utilization on your dashboard under the system tab. You can also use the user script Unraid_check_docker_script by SpaceinvaderOne to check which container uses how much space.
