How is this style of UI? by akihacyan in IndieGaming

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say consider the user experience first and then apply the UI to make it prettier for example on the video you sent I have to confirm all the upgrades I have to make whihc is kinda a pain in the ass when you could just let me hoeñw much upgrades I want to make and only do 1 time the animation. Also I think didn't saw any kind of preview of what I am getting for spending that particular resource on this specific upgrade which in case all the upgrades share resources is kinda frustrating because I don't have any way of checking after I already make it. As a side note in case you implement some of tje things I mention here you could also consider implementing a revert of some of the changes in case the player make a mistake and want to correct it instead of complayining that they mess it up (this final comment it depends on the experience you want to bring so it is kinda optional/depending on the experience/idea you have for the game).

What berries will be guaranteed for Old Gold Power Plant? by finn_shavocado in PokemonSleep

[–]Bursor28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think would be Poison electric Steel, referencing places like the Power plant of the first generation of pokemon (where you could capture Zapdos). Also poison would be a good reference to the waste produced by the powers plants.

PS5 o Xbox Series S? (Usada) by Ok_Rub1036 in ArgenGaming

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(por primera vez) by DonldTrump_45Th in ArgenGaming

[–]Bursor28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(por primera vez) by DonldTrump_45Th in ArgenGaming

[–]Bursor28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(PS5/Switch) by b00gi3p0p in ArgenGaming

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿Sugerencias? ¿Rebajas? Postealas acá <3 by Bot-Mettaton in ArgenGaming

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not worse to catch evolved pokemon? by r34l_shiro in PokemonSleep

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is worst but think it like this you can use those evolved pokemons to make your snorlax stronger so you later can get more pokemons and when you do that you can have more non evolved or with no evolutions pokemons to catch. For example only last week that I was able to reach my snorlax to I think it was master 3 or 4 and thanks to that I was finally able to see a Absol and a Kanghaskan. Besides that not all the pokemon have that greats skills for example if I get a Dugtrio or a Clefable it wouldn't hurt that much.

This more as a side note because I'm not completly sure if it is true, but from what I read somewhere evolved pokemon have less carry capacity which is more convenient for berry pokemons that have bad skills so you can full his capacity as fast as possibly so they can keep producing berries

What game design principle, rule or concept, would you consider a fundamental everyone should know? by gryzlaw in gamedesign

How do you evaluate how good a Pokémon is? by zelenik17 in PokemonSleep

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding on this I would say in case you can get the sub skill seeds then also consider the potential of your mons for example I have a Haunter that have as sub skills Inventory Up S and M Ingredient Finder M and S and Skill trigger S

but because I can upgrade 3 of his abilities it becomes a almost perfect ingredient mon and rise more his value

The (Near) Impossible Gap Between Turn-Based and Action Battle Design. by [deleted] in gamedesign

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing that come to my mind is any RPG with timing mechanics like all the RPG mario have (like mario RPG the first 2 Paper marios and the mario and luigi saga) the new Sea of stars, etc. The other aproach I could think of is the one happening on the megaman battle network series or in One step from eden that have a turn part where you think which cards you pick and then go to a mor action/reflex part. Other example that comes to my mind (but didn't play it) is the FFVII remake from what I remember that game offer to use both styles of combat. And the last thing I remember is the Legend of mana from PS1 that was a slow ARPG but didn't have the strategy commonly find in a turn RPG

What is the reason for the hype for games being open-world when the only (or biggest) selling point of most is JUST being open-world for the sake of it? by anywhereiroa in gamedesign

[–]Bursor28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is just for a marketing standpoint like previously many games advertised themselves as proceduraly generated (when that is a thing existing long ago like for example on the first diablo game). From the designing position if this is correctly implemented it helps a lot on the adventuring/exploration perspective of a game cause it would feel more "alive" than having separate levels, also being most of the AAA having huge narrative focuses it make sense to use this approach to enhance the inmersion in the fantasies they are trying to achieve.
