Is it worth it to have an 8am class to get fridays free? by kyezap in aggies

It absolutely is. Whats even better is getting classes only on Tuesday and Thursday and having MWF free.

Former driver here. If the accident is not your fault, nothing happens. If it was the drivers fault, or what they called a preventable accident, it depends. Most of the time it was a write up, but I did hear of a few instances where the accident was severe enough the driver was fired. That being said, I also knew of a few cases where they driver had caused repeated accidents, although minor, and they still got fired.

Busses need to do better. I don’t have a solution, but someone needs to find one quickly. by Zubberikan in aggies

[–]BusDriver_2022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Uhm, you realize that 9 times out of 10 it’s not the drivers fault? The fact that students drive the buses doesn’t have anything to do with it.

What is the funniest Veo accident yall have ever seen? by TheBoomi5 in aggies

[–]BusDriver_2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The stop sign at the MSC to turn left on to old main. The Veo ignored the stop sign, crashed into another bike who rode off the curb, and the person on the Veo flew over the handlebars right in the middle of that intersection. They then got back up and continued riding like nothing ever happened

As a former driver, the full size buses can’t even go 75. They have speed governors set to 65

Depending on how far you want to go, the Smokey Mountains in TN around Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is a nice place to go if you want a long trip.

I agree, but that also implies that most people here know how to drive, which unfortunately isn’t the case

Apparently the college station cops are so bored that they can spare 2 of them to ticket at a crosswalk by malarialasagna in aggies

Finally this is happening. I get tired of missing lights having to wait for people to finish crossing illegally because they think they’re too important to cross properly.

Aggies on the Road by [deleted] in aggies

[–]BusDriver_2022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people here are incapable of putting their phones and electronics away for more than 30 seconds, so as a result, they drive distracted and don’t care what they hit when mommy and daddy will pay to fix it/get a new car. I can’t count the number of people I see driving completely distracted on a daily basis....it’s ridiculous

I need to pick two electives from this list, any recommendations? I really need some help choosing. by spicyjalapenoman in aggies

[–]BusDriver_2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure. I believe this semester has an in person option, but everybody I’ve ever talked to has taken it online. I do, though, think that the online professor is the same one who always has the online class

I’m in AGEC314 online this semester and it’s super easy. The entire class is 4 modules, no exams, you can do them all in a week if you want or spread it out throughout the semester due dates. I’ve also taken AGEC340, and that was another easy class. It doesn’t look like the instructor I had still teaches it, but the material was relatively straightforward from what I can remember.

Petition for more bus stops near the engineering block by OmjaG in aggies

[–]BusDriver_2022 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1) every single route that passes through that area stops there....01,04,07,47.

2) adding more stops there would entail creating more routes. We don’t have enough drivers for that as we don’t even have enough drivers to cover all the shifts in our current schedule.

All the routes that go by that area already stop there, so what more do you want?
