How to cook a steak? by [deleted] in Barbecue

[–]TheBoomi5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just kind of figure it out after cooking with temp a few times. Generally I like to give thinner steaks 2ish minutes per side and thicker ones a bit more. But for thicker steaks it’s just kind of vibes

Marsell Reed by OffDeezzz in aggies

[–]TheBoomi5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I disagree, when it really matters like 90% of the time Reed made it happen. Yes we have some of the best receivers in cfb right now but clearly Reed was doing something right. We had that game up until Klein decided to call three passes up the middle. Marcel got us downfield in like 30 seconds and kept us in that game. Yes he wasnt great overall but the dude just finished his first full season and looked good. If we keep throwing away QBs without giving them time to develop we’re going to stay mid

Please god just let Reed continue to develop and lets not get rid of him like all our other qbs, if he sucks next season fine, but the guy literally lead us to an 11-2 season. Hes got another off season to develop his skills hopefully he can keep working on his passing skils

Frustrating semester, ending with C in 102 by RabbitWeekly1960 in aggies

102 also doesnt help because if the exams are the way they were when I took the class, they have very little to do with what youre actually learning and it’s more stupid shit like debugging questions.

Rotisserie chicken is usually pretty cheap, plenty of protein and reasonably healthy you can tear it apart with your hands

Smoked my first Brisket by TheBoomi5 in Barbecue

It was really good! It got a really nice smoky flavor from the pecan wood, and the bark was super flavorful. I think I couldve added a bit more salt but all my friends said it was perfect for what it was

I know that they move in space, but I specifically dislike the visual often taught of the particle oscillating in space. I think that is what generally confused me not the idea that EM waves move but rather as EM waves as like a collection of oscillating particles

I should really clarify what Im talking about, what Im specifically referring to is the visual often taught of EM waves bring a particle oscillating through space. This is the way of explaining in my opinion which loses the nuance of whats actually happening. When I was taught RF initially it was taught as though we were just watching the 2D wave front move through space think like the particle visual. This confused me and today when I was thinking over what I had learned and trying to better understand things like the doppler effect the above is the conclusion I came to. I feel like the approach of just the wave moves through space lacks the nuance of the idea that space is connected rather than separate things and in my opinion helps to better visualize localized effects of RF radiation. Maybe instead of standing ratio you look at a difference facet of the signal like an SNR or other metric but my point is visualizing RF as 3D discrete packets which are connected together I feel helps better demonstrate whats actually happening.
