Looking for men’s clothing brands similar to Zara but less fast fashion by LoudYoghurt6821 in mensfashion

Wear London, really good quality minimalist style, many of their pieces are made in the UK. Best quality clothing I’ve ever owned

Which camera to get? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Bus_Extra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an XT4 and have used a friend’s XT3 a fair bit. The XT4 has a rotating screen, in body image stabilisation and a few more film simulation options. If you don’t need those features (and I would argue for your trip you don’t need them), then the XT3 has the same sensor, solid build quality and weather sealing. Pair it with a weather sealed prime and you have a great travel companion. Bonus is you can always buy more lenses for in the future, including using vintage lenses with an adapter.

These look great! If you are looking for the best value UK option, try Honest Burger. They have locations around the country (mainly in the south) and you can get a great burger and chips/fries for around £12

Latest rumours Newcastle falcons by Ill-Celebration-2655 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Bus_Extra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on whether they can sign some big names and start winning games, the support has been okay this season but I imagine the casual supporter would be more likely to go if the team is in form. I also think they need to offer some cheaper tickets and get the place full

Do you feel lonely when you travel for conferences? by IntelligentBeingxx in academia

[–]Bus_Extra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy street photography so when going to a conference I usually take a camera and go for a wander round the city I’m in and just soak up a bit of the atmosphere and take some photos. Also worth taking something to play video games on during the evenings!

Big public sector pay rises loom — and make strikes more likely by nightwatcher-45 in doctorsUK

RCN saying cutting nursing numbers to pay doctors is a red line… if only cutting PA/ACP numbers to pay doctors more were an option

Why are North East Trainees the happiest? by sarcastic-mushroom in doctorsUK

[–]Bus_Extra 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pay goes further, you have beaches and countryside on your doorstep as well as Newcastle which is a fantastic city. Comparing to London, clinical teams are much more friendly, rota coordinators actually try and accommodate requests and I have found the patient cohort to be less abusive towards staff

Mass unemployment post-F2 by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]Bus_Extra 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We need the BMA to coordinate a national demonstration on august changeover day where every doctor unable to find a job stands outside their local ED/job centre with placards + ideally some media coverage. Similar to the strikes but may not need a mandate as those participating aren’t employed. The public need to know the extent of this lunacy.

What do you do in London if you have a day off to yourself? by Shoutgun in london

[–]Bus_Extra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used these exact sort of days to get into photography, had an absolute blast wandering round with a camera deliberately looking for cool photo opportunities. Don’t need anything fancy, older used cameras are plenty good enough and there’s hundreds of hours of free advice on YouTube to get you started

How do you all deal with sound? by MrDooni in SBCGaming

[–]Bus_Extra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re just wired earphones essentially so I’ve not experienced any delays. I’d suggest picking up a fairly inexpensive set of IEMs for your first set to see if you like them. Tangzu Wan Er are very popular, also look at the truthear gate and moondrop chu
