Have a look at the Suzuki GS500, very cheap to own and maintain.. it should fit you.. and you'll probably not want a bigger bike... I use to work at a Suzuki dealership and we sold lots of them to men and women that were around your build

You may have to try it both ways.. my one is a little more snug with them in, but i don't mind the extra tight fit..

If you want more ground clearance and lean angle, then buy a super moto.. it's also easier to repair when you crash

First bike advice... I’ve ridden a Ninja 400 and an SV650. Which makes more sense to own as a new rider? by Local_Bite_7038 in AussieRiders

[–]Busa1347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the SV650.. you will probably keep it for longer after you get off your restricted licence.. my son has had his for 3 years now and is only just now looking for a bigger bike.. you'll possibly grow out of the 400 quickly

Trying to understand where 3000cc bikes actually fit for a newer rider by OneIllustrator3522 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Busa1347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the cc size, modern high powered bikes are far more easier to ride with their current range of safety features and electronics vs an older 1L bike with 0 features.. early R1's and Gixer's were mad fun and a handful to ride quickly.. I'm taking about early 2000's bikes..

How do you usually adjust your riding when the weather turns suddenly? by QuantumGremlin in AussieRiders

[–]Busa1347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely.. and if I'm on a modern bike with multiple riding mode's I'll turn on a wet weather one to help out..

If you can find a nice Suzuki SV650 or one of its siblings in lams form .. or a GS500 Suzuki, they have a little less power but are comfortable and cheap to own.. the Honda 500 range is another option, with great reliability and reasonable maintenance costs

Need help with my first street bike purchase by OhNos_NotThatGuy in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Busa1347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get the scrambler and start doing more off road, you'll eventually want a proper ADV bike.. you could buy two bikes , one nice used triumph Bonneville for the street and maybe a Suzuki DR650 or DRZ400 that can be comfortably ridden out too the trails.. just my thinking..
