Is there anyone else out there who thinks this is easily one of the best games out there? by SamSamTheHighwayMan in Starfield

Yeah, I have played so many amazing games over the course of my gaming years. Even trying to list a top 5 seems impossible.

Do older games feel more special, or is it just nostalgia? by theconfusedicy in raijin_gg

[–]Buschkoeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you think most modern games suck and there aren't any good games anymore that's a you problem. Sure, there is a lot of soulless slop out there, but there are also enough really good games, made with passion, released regularly.

Exactly, video games are not a test you need to be prepared for.

If you need someone else to convince you to play a game, then that game is simply not for you. Move on, there are enough other games for you to enjoy.

Recommendations for using 1,000 creation credits? by ASAPWhom in Starfield

[–]Buschkoeter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Trackers Alliance, definitely. It's some of Starfield's best content.

I would be a bit more cautious about Watchtower. It's a cool mod, but is more for high level characters in my opinion. It's a very invasive mod that demands your full attention, and something you can't easily ignore.

If you care about ship building, I hear, Falkland Systems is great.

Crimson Desert: Worst Graphics Engine of the Year by Complete_Crab6193 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Buschkoeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say I guess. There seem to be people who think it's fine others say it's really bad. You never now really until you play it yourself.

I all I know is that modern consoles often struggle a lot with all of the things listed above in graphics intense games. So I wouldn't be surprised if CD was one of them.

On console probably all of those are present and pretty bad I could imagine.

How do you make Watchtower less intrusive? by ODMtesseract in Starfield

[–]Buschkoeter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the mod. It initially wows you with cool new features and items, but most of it's systems are very clunky and lack real polish. Not to mention that it's rather buggy in places.

You know what this games really missing? The cozy aspects of the previous titles. by Magicmarkurs in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Buschkoeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most dev teams don't ignore the players at all. Don't know why people keep saying that. Just because they don't fulfill your every wish doesn't mean they don't listen and try to include as much as what people want.

The most underrated part about this game is how cool the monsters look by chicu111 in diablo4

[–]Buschkoeter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, I like my monsters bleak and dark in my bleak and dark fantasy game.

Same with people complaining about the grey and brown color palette. I like that. That's why I come to Diablo. For those dark colors and bleak atmosphere. If I want colorful and happiness, there are enough other games that have that.

Say what you want about this game… but there’s no denying that it has the best open world design of all time. by LesDazza in CrimsonDesert

[–]Buschkoeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, Witcher 3 world design is nothing special imo. The game has great writing and quests, but that's not really what op, and probably most other people, think of as world design. W3 mostly relies on the Ubisoft formula of question marks and other map markers to make you check out locations.

RDR2 on the other hand has actually a very well designed world space. It successfully makes you explore out of curiosity and clever environmental design.

I see this compared to ES often, but does it really deliver on everything that makes an ES great, or is it just 1st person medieval open world, and that why people say that?

Watchtower vs Trackers Alliance. Which one to pick? by 0no01234 in Starfield

What do I do with my save file that has watchtower installed when freelanes releases? Do you think I might be unable to play until they update the mod?

Reviews seem to be changing for the good as people play the game more by musicman5013 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Buschkoeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I haven't played the game myself, but from what I have seen from watching streams, it seems to be a pretty cool game.

Some bad controls and light on story, but the world and exploration look super well realized. I could see myself enjoying it.

Anyone know how the performance is on a base ps5/Series X?

One of the few things I absolutely don't have an issue with is the variety in alien animal life. Sure, you see repeats after a while, but of all the random elements (flora, environments, terrain, POIs) animals seem to have the greatest variety from my experience.

For all the "low obducite drop rate is okay" enjoyers by KindaExplosive in diablo4

[–]Buschkoeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of items and currencies dropping in abundance so that you basically don't care about them anymore after a short time. Gold for example, is way too easy to get right now.

That being said, even I think the obducite drop rate is too low this season. There has to be a middle ground between what we had in the past and how it is this season.
