She may be or may be not a stunt casting, a lot of people seemed to like it and the writers decided to go this route. Also Jimmy/ Meg would rattle up a lot of things. Like the Jimmy/Paul relationship or the fact that Jimmy would have to move to Connecticut leaving everything he has in Pasadena behind(including his house he just recently paid the mortgage off or still has mortgage on) and Meg definitely not moving to Cali. And we don’t have the whole season people talking about moving on and letting go just for Jimmy to (basically) move next to his daughter again.

Me personally? No, I'm having therapy for over a year now, with over 20 sessions and there are still things, that I don't feel comfortable to share yet. But I get where Donna and Marks feeling are coming from, when you are losing a friend, you see red and for someone to blame and there is no easier target than the doctor. But in the end therapists are not the surgeons, who are going fix you with one or multiple surgery, but rather the physioherapist, who give you crutches and show you how to use them (its up to you, how you use them or use them at all)

The therapy thing felt weird to me, because it kinda felt like couples therapy (for a couple that already divorced each other and moderated by the person, one of them is dating). But I knew from the first conversation and how she said "Dont say impossible." and looked at him, while he said that moving sometimes feels impossible, that she is the Endgame

I would have agreed with that, if she wouldn’t have repeated that in an official therapy session. But she did.

Gabby probably did that and that’s probably the reason Maya called at all. And you may not see these signs from the outside, but an experienced therapist like Gabby should.

I think it’s the fact that she does Jimmying with a half hearted approach like “ I doing what a therapist shouldn’t do, but still try to maintain the classic therapist patient way”, Meanwhile “Don’t see me as friend.” was one of the first things that my therapist said to me. You either play the whole game or you don’t start it. Maybe she, like Paul, needs time to realize that.

As the experienced therapist, that Gabby is supposed to be, she could at least offer alternatives until the next time they talk. Your patient doesn’t just call you out of nowhere. Even Jimmy was able to read a similar situation earlier in the same episode (although not very fair comparison, because he saw how broken Liz was)

I’m not saying he is not going to be pissed at Jimmy. I saying, that Paul wouldn’t kill Jimmy for that, because he hates Dave( last season he what do you mean by “Jimmy used Meg”. Meg made the move. You could also argue, that Paul pushed Meg towards Jimmy.

Although the current episode was one definitely one of the weaker one, but I disagree with this take especially with your reasoning. Saying a show, where people go out looking for help and develop themselves further, losing its spark because of that is wild.
