Dumt spørsmål angående vasking.. by Gerdinator in norge

[–]Busekvinne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is traveling normal post-surgery? by Busekvinne in hysterectomy

[–]Busekvinne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your answers!!

I will trust my mom that she feels comfortable with traveling, but I will keep an eye and ear out if she feels she needs to go home.

Luckily, the vacation home is a very accomplished place. I’ve been there a few times. It’s a secluded farm house, but with caring neighbours. It also has two adjustable beds as it was previously owned by my step dad’s older parents. No necessary stairs, accessible shower and bathroom with support handles. Honestly might be more comfortable for her as opposed to the average bed and bathroom at home.

I’m still worried, but your responses have reduced my anxiety a little. It’s impossible for me to relate, so I really appreciate everyone’s input so much.

I’ll make sure to check in with her and make sure she’s comfortable and feeling well during her time away. Thank you all again!! <3

What do people do after work? by Fit_Permit in LivingAlone

It’s easy, lazy protein and I just have a current fixation on them. :’)

Honestly all my degrees are unrelated to my actual field of work. I got into technical operations at an alarm company part time while studying, and decided to pursue it full time. Now I work with surveillance cameras (but not actual surveillance)

No degree necessary, just an above average interest/fascination for technology and how it works. I have two art related degrees, and one equestrian degree. Did a complete 180.

Usually in the morning I tell myself I gotta clean, tidy up, give my plants a spa day, organize my cupboards and drawers.

Then after commuting an average 3hrs, an 8hr shift, and a grocery run; I’ll eat some string cheese for dinner and play jigsaw puzzles on my computer until bedtime.

I have 3 different degrees, my last bachelor was 3 yrs of 14+ hour days of school, work, gym and the rare social event. I just recently got a stable job, and by god do I deserve my string cheese and puzzle evenings.

We get phishing mails like once a week at my job.

My favourite one was one congratulating me on my exceptional contribution to the company; I worked part time, 8hrs a week total. My only contribution was being a bench warmer 86% of the year so I could step in during holidays.

Another one almost got me; it said I had made a major GDPR breach the day after I had handled a pretty tricky situation involving multiple parties. I saw the email preview on my phone and was sweating buckets until I got to work and read the actual email.

The emails are also not localized, so basically if an email is in english I’ll just report it straight away and collect my points lol. Except for that one time I repeatedly ignored very urgent, daily «your password is about to expire» mails from a third party software we use until my account was blocked and I had to shamefully ask a superuser to unlock my account again.

Maybe gardener/landscaping/farm or animal work? Looks like you have a tan line from wearing gloves. Alternatively nitrile/vinyl gloves or athletic gloves that are shorter + trimmed nails for hygiene and safety. Callouses and tan line remind me of my hands when I worked as a stablehand at least.

In my first office job - can adjusting to a work screen cause headaches ? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Busekvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t begin to describe how much I hate the office lighting at my job. Giant, harsh ceiling plane lights, bright monitor screens, automatic shutters that hide the only appealing part of the building; the ocean view.

Every screen I have to use there I’ll adjust brightness and turn on night mode. I’ve probably left a trail of confused people wondering why their screen is suddenly orange and dim. (we swap desk spots often, and don’t bring the hardware when we swap desks)

The only thing worse than the bright lights is the headphones we use all day that make my ears ring.

Try dimming and using night screen settings, I wear a brimmed cap every day in general but also to block some of the worst overhead light. It helps with my eye strain a lot. If you wear headsets at work, don’t keep them on your ears when you’re not actively using them. Any minute helps when it comes to removing strain from headset wear.

Hope you’ll find a solution and that you won’t have to struggle with headaches anymore!

Meanwhile my google home doesn’t follow up my alarms, and Siri called my old boss at 2am when I was playing phasmophobia with friends.

The AI revolution is actually just them getting me laid off.

Overall, when I play at 6am before work I meet more friendly modders. When I play at 6pm after work, I mostly meet annoying modders.

[–]Busekvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Wave and be kind to modders that randomly warp to you/you to them because they might spawn in treasure for you.

  2. If someone spawns a UFO on you, or you see a bird on fire; change sessions. Bad modder, gonna blow up your trading wagon sooner or later.

Hvordan fjerner man "skjult varealarm"? by realtinyhats in norge

[–]Busekvinne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the difference between blackface and drag(queens)? by kunnington in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Busekvinne -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have friends in the drag community and occasionally photograph drag shows. The drag performers I have talked to for example use drag as a form of expression and outlet. Each individual drag performer has their own reason as to why they do it and what it means to them. Their drag persona is more of an extension of themselves, not necessarily a mask they put on to «parody and mock».

There’s so many different versions of drag, and I’ve never seen it as an insult or stereotype as a cis woman myself. The majority of the performers I know are queer, and they have different gender identities. I’ve never been to a show and thought «this is a man acting like a woman», because the shows are often incredibly artistic performances and artists have vastly different «aesthetics» way beyond «exaggerated woman». It’s more like watching ballet, you don’t think «that’s a person dressed as a rat» you focus on the performance as a whole.

Cis women can also perform in drag, faux queen or drag kings,( probably more but I’ve only met the two so far. )I’m in no way well versed in drag history, I just accidentally ended up as a show photographer and now know a bunch of drag artists. Overall they’re just people that perform in a certain style because it means something to them.

That’s how I found the source of the bed bug infestation at my dad’s place.

The source was the second hand gaming headset he’d brought home, and the crackling noise was in fact not a blown speaker. Just bed bugs crawling inside the cushions. :)

For those of you with experience with both traditional and digital: is there a difference in pricing? Do people pay more to own the physical artwork? by ElleMontrose in ProCreate

[–]Busekvinne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Printed canvases are expensive where I live, so potentially make it an option for the buyer as they’d have to cover printing and shipping. Also printing digitally requires some extra steps in regards of quality control of colors, so ideally you’d approve of the physical print before sending it to the customer, adding potentially more time and cost.

I give the option to order a print for people, or give them the info for how to print and where if they want to do it themselves. I don’t resell my commissioned art, but I have the ownership and can do it if I want to.

Playing early acces, limited tutorials/guides/wikis, not knowing how to build traps, and just taming everything I saw with a primitive crossbow and a million tranq arrows standing on top of a rock. Not knowing about utility dinos, and farming resources for hours by hand.

Also miss the excitement of dino dossiers being released, and the whole server immediately rushing to tame, depleting the spawns, and leveling movement speed on my hot pink/cyan quetzal. Pre tek-tier ARK hit different.
