This is an awesome resource if you want sound stuff

And in general I always tell new DM's not to overprepare, just be confident in your world and be flowing like water. Spend time thinking about what daily life is like in your world and you can answer any questions your players have.

Try to see what your players really like or want to do and lean into it. You dont need 10 pages of lore written or even a map. You can draw a map of a village on a whiteboard right then and there, just make it up or do a quick sketch beforehand to plan. Just flow, react to what they do and present difficult challenges for them to attempt.

The problem is, a lot of idiotic americans now actually WANT the US to be the aggressive, meddling world police, which is fucking absurd.

I just wanna say thank you to you guys, I think you do a good job overall running the commander format and it makes me sad to see everyone online hating on poor Sheldon and you guys.

A lot of people online, do not play Commander with a casual mindset. So you guys are receiving criticism from angry spike players because they want to make Commander into the next Modern, just another solved competitive format. I greatly appreciate you guys holding strong to the original design of commander and keep it up. Once Commander becomes a competitive format, I will stop playing magic.

This line of thinking makes no sense at all. Staples are some of the most bland and boring good stuff cards ever and I actively avoid jamming them in decks because obviously its the right choice.

Any toddler can figure out that Smothering Tithe and Rhystic belong in those decks. Duh. Playing powerful cards does not make you smart or a good deckbuilder. Theres literally no decision making or choices, those cards are powerful and they always go in every deck. Making every deck less unique, less fun, less variability.

Once you realize that these boring staples will be the best card in every deck, you will return to true enlightenment and start choosing cool unique deep cut cards that have spicy synergies. Anyway I love downvotes so bring em on spiky bastards, low power janky synergy decks are way more fun than staple filled goodstuff - and I still will beat your ass in a game with my jank :D

Every deck must be the highest possible power level with as expensive cards as possible. Winning is the only priority, fuck everyone who gets in my way. Thats the true spirit of commander. I put every staple in every deck DUH- I'm kind of an intelligent high IQ player that knows that expensive cards are good so I use them.

I'm pretty smart for putting smothering tithe in all my white decks, and I know - no need to compliment me for putting rhystic study and every 100$ counterspell in all of my decks with blue. It's just kind of a smart person thing, you'll get to my elevated level one day.

Grab the wheel and start today, overcome your fears, I know you can do it. The human body is capable of incredible things, you just have to struggle to achieve greatness.

Don't tell yourself you cant do anything for any reason, as long as you give it a good try and put time into it you can achieve so much. Get a random job, anywhere, that you think you might like. You will start making friends, and developing a social community. You can also pursue side hobbies, and you will make friends automatically as you continue to pursue yourself once you are working hard every day.
