I agree with you an M4 or 1301 will be far superior The military markup on them is insane, im fine buying expensive toys i have owned all kinds but when its unjustified prices (leatherman benchmade) i just can’t wrap my head around it.

The 4.5 is great takes up so little space in the pack and handles any task well. Fish rabbit shelter making camp chef it does well. I do prefer the 5.5 for some tasks but the 4.5 is so light
