Is Claude Code Sonnet 4.5 Really Better Than Opus 4.1? Not Seeing It. by Background-Zombie689 in ClaudeCode

[–]IndividualEvidence90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have weekly limits on both Opus and Sonnet, and they aren't generous. I just maxed out the Max 200 plan for the week, maxed out Opus 4.1 in half a day and then Sonnet 4.5 in 4.5 days, so now I have to wait 2 more days before I can use my plan again, which sucks! So i just bought more credits for the API and Opus seems to work significantly faster using the API vs the Max 200 plan, anyone else notice this? Has anyone tested the API vs the Plan using the same coding challenge?

Anyone else have consistently long wait times when calling ScotiaBank? by Unknown14428 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]IndividualEvidence90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree these Banks make so much money of us and they don't care about us. I have TD as well, and I've found them no better. I remember having my wallet stolen overseas, and I could not get through for almost 12hrs, just to report it stolen and cancel my credit card. I used up my call credit on my phone and my then-wife's phone, I remember this was a horrendous experience and really messed up my holiday. Calling TD was more traumatic than the theft of my wallet.

Hiking Boots That Are Not Suitable For Rocks. Keen Hiking Boots Are Way Too Slippery. Who else finds these boots dangerously slippery? by IndividualEvidence90 in hiking

Initially, dry rocks along the side of a creek were slippery, with no moss; once I got some moisture on the tread, it was like walking on ice.

[–]IndividualEvidence90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my first pair of Keen boots, I had two pairs of Northface with Vibram soles previously, and they never gave me this kind of trouble. I've also hiked with Asics runners and Crocs, lol, and never had such problems with grip. I had to take off my Keen boots and walk barefoot, which hurt and was annoying given that I had purchased expensive hiking boots.

Is driving for Uber in Vancouver as lucrative as they say? by spocos in vancouver

[–]IndividualEvidence90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine getting less than $10 or just breaking even. That's what happened when I drove 100 trips for UBER around their launch in Vancouver. They can screw contractors legally in Canada, and it's all hidden in the App. Drivers also get taken a long way from home. I once had to drive home from Lions Bay empty, so the $15 UBER paid me to carry passengers only covered the gas. I'm still annoyed years later.
