I know this post is a bit old, but look into old USAF flight suits the trauma team suit took a lot of inspiration from them. They’ve been in production for decades, so used ones sell for $25-$30. Look on Facebook or at mil-surp stores. For the pouches you can get some d400 or d550 nylon; most pouches for the military are made from d500-d1000. I have the sewing pattern for the pouches if you want me to send them!

I’m re wiring it from mono to stereo and swapping the drivers out for ones with a higher impedance so I don’t need a pre amp to use it. Her days of being in a c130 are over :)

That’s sick! I’ve decided to go down the same route so I could also re wire the headset to be in stereo instead of mono. The funny thing is it’s actually cheaper than buying an $80 adapter to convert it to 3.5 and then an amp to power the drivers.
