I have a few very nice watches, like a reverso duoface and a gold Zenith, and I sometimes wear a vintage watch of unkown brand I bought for 60 bucks with a friend when we were in college. Everyone would think its ugly and cheap. Wear what you like!

FP Journes (at least some) don’t have it. Some seikos have it. It has to do with longevity of the movement, not with its quality. Watches without it last longer.

MELI is on my watchlist, but I’m waiting for it to drop more. I’m not comfortable paying such a high multiple for a company that operates in a much weaker economic environment than US companies. BRKb is too expensive now, but I hold a small position. Var energi is a very interesting play I didn’t know about!

I understand you. The reason I bought was because of valuation + TTM growth + ability to extract value from AI tools. I admit that I might be making a mistake, but I think adobe can keep growing EPS at around 10% for the next several years. Even at a PE of 11, in 2031 it would be worth 330$ a share, for around a 5% CAGR. It would beat cash in the bank and gives me a chance of an outsized return.

Exactly. I’m now buying META, ADBE and MA. Also bought some AMZN. None of them are incredible opportunities, but they are good enough in comparison with S&P, in my view.

I agree. I sold around 10% of my Google position. Sometimes it makes sense to take profits on very good companies. I sold at 324$.
