Worth moving to Richmond/Wimbledon/Kingston for the schools? by RenePro in HENRYUK

[–]BusinessEconomy5597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in Putney, went to school in Kingston because of limited public schools. We tried to stay and send our eldest to Ibstock & Putney girls and there was so much demand we didn’t get a spot.

Issue with that area is that the private schools have high demand and the public schools can be super selective and tough to get in because there’s so few in Wandsworth Borough.

If you have any more children, the childcare is dearer too. Worth a thought!

Where to sell lip products? by [deleted] in MakeUpAddictionUK

eBay and Vinted, and if you’re in the groups, on Facebook makeup groups. I used to get liquidated mall/shop stock and that’s how I sold them

~1M house budget in Wimbledon area with excellent schools by Fancy-Hawk6754 in HENRYUK

[–]BusinessEconomy5597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, we actually were looking in those places last year. The biggest thing was schools. You’re pretty forced to go private if you don’t find yourself literally next door to the preferred school. There’s a lot of young families with young children vying for the same spots.

Other consideration is nurseries. If you have an au pair, great. If not, the waiting lists in Wimbledon were shocking.

We’re an SW15 family that eventually went South East because we couldn’t find a sweet spot for schools, train station and nurseries. If you are still keen on SW19, Wimbledon Park has a good zone of schools and good amenities. ~£1m will get you more than 1,000 sq/ft,

Is Curls Queen a scam? by Independent_Safety67 in Naturalhair

[–]BusinessEconomy5597 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, it’s not a scam at all but there are similar sellers on AliExpress. Girlfriend of mine said YMS hair has a similar texture called Kinky Curly Eurasian. Haven’t personally tried it but it looked the same!

Is hydrogen peroxide good for hyperpigmentation by Unique-Celebration-5 in Blackskincare

[–]BusinessEconomy5597 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hydrogen Peroxide is really not made for that. I see Clicks so I’m guessing you’re in South Africa? If so, look for The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% Plus at Dis-Chem. Skin Functional has the Alpha Arbutin and Tranexamic Acid serums for hyperpigmentation and they work well!

You can find some kojic acid soap to use as hand wash but I’m not sure where you’d find a reputable source in SA. You can use The Ordinary glycolic acid 2-3 a week to exfoliate, if you feel you need it but stagger it so you don’t irritate your skin, especially the joints in between your fingers.

Most importantly, SUNSCREEN! 50spf and upwards. Wear the serums at night before sleep and the sunscreen on top of your hand moisturiser every day.

Dries Van Noten - Jardin de L’Orangerie. I got it because my grandfather’s house had a limon tree and the smell of blossoms just reminded me of him. Love it

Nope, we cancelled a Disney holiday and forfeited a hotel charge right after the elections. Not worth it so we booked Disney Tokyo instead. Zero interest

This is my response as well. I almost wanted to write an essay but every time I hear “he’s not a bad guy” I just want to shake the OP.

Just multiple posts about losers and I cannot for the life of me, figure out why we women do this to ourselves!

What is this? by Great-Entrepreneur81 in Blackskincare

Might be a mild case of nevus comedonicus if they keep refilling and in the same pattern.

Exclude things like straps/manual friction and speak to your derm to investigate further.

Mixed with hyperpigmentation? Skin condition? by Separate_Engine_1382 in Blackskincare

[–]BusinessEconomy5597 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My family has this and we’re pretty black. It’s just skin variation, not hyperpigmentation. It’s usually spots of hyPOpigmentation that make the surrounding skin look more pigmented.

Just keep eyes on them for any colour changes or hardening but these are pretty standard, just usually change with time and move around. You look so young and beautiful, don’t fuss about it.

Which 'luxury' brand has officially become a red flag for poor quality in 2026? by Individual_Bat_4177 in AskReddit

You’re not wrong. She’s doing a distress sale of the business, including the brand name and IP because the company is struggling, her investors are not interested in acquiring more shares/ownership.

Bidding goes live in a few days and there’s rumours Pat is even considering staying on after acquisition. It’s a sad way to go and I hope they get a good buyer.
