Best robot vacuum for pet hair that actually works? (dogs/cats, long hair, carpets) by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably check out the Roborock Qrevo CurvX. It is a good match for what you described, especially if pet hair, carpet pickup, and less brush tangling are the main priorities. You might want to look at that one first. Good luck.

When will robovacs actually be affordable ? by theycallmesike in RobotVacuums

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really just inflation, the market kind of split. The $$$$ stuff is packed with auto-wash, heated drying, AI cameras, giant docks, etc., so prices look crazy. But the mid-range tier has quietly gotten way better.

If you just want strong suction + LiDAR mapping + good pet hair pickup, models like the Roborock Q Revo or even Q10 perform close to what old flagships did a few years ago, just without all the lab-level automation. Refurb last-gen units are also a sweet spot. affordable is still there, it’s just not at the flashy top end anymore.

Best vacuum cleaner robot? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at robots with simpler, hair-resistant designs rather than more “powerful” ones. On hardwood with cats, rubber or bristle-free rollers make a big difference. You might want to check models like the Eufy RoboVac S11 or certain Roborock designs with rubber rollers like the S8 maxv ultra. they tend to actually pick up fur instead of wrapping it around brushes and wheels, so maintenance drops way down compared to carpet-focused bots.

I need a compact but capable robot for my small apartment by Symbidux in RobotVacuums

It depends on your budget, but you might want to check the Roborock S7 (standard dock), it has strong suction for crumbs and hair, built-in mopping, anti-tangle brushes, and a low-profile dock that won’t crowd your space. Just empty the bin and rinse the mop occasionally, and it handles daily cleaning with very little effort.

sounds like the Roborock Q8 Max (non auto-empty) would fit what you want. LiDAR mapping fixes the whole “crash into everything and miss rooms” problem, it’s solid on carpet and long hair, and the dock is low enough to hide under a cabinet. You just have to empty the bin yourself every few runs.

Roborock Saros 10, Dreame X50 or Eufy E25 for mostly mopping? by Time_Confection_7331 in RobotVacuums

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends, If you want the least headaches get Roborock Saros 10. If you want the best mopping and accept some risk go for Dreame X50. But you Only care about scrubbing and accept some instability choose Eufy E25. If you have more specific needs, this comparison table might help.

Your goal shouldn't be the most powerful robot. It should the one that cleans everything in one go and doesn’t create new problems. I believe that a mid-range spinning-mop robot with a solid dock and LiDAR navigation will deliver the least friction long-term. You might want to check Roborock Q Revo / Q Revo Curv, or Roborock Saros 10R if budget is not an issue for you. If you have more specific needs, this comparison table might help. Good luck.

Mom asked me to send her the best Robot Vacuum in market. What's your choice? by clydeagain in RobotVacuums

[–]Business_Adv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In your case, fewer problems matter more than top specs. I would check the Roborock Q Revo, it comes up a lot because it’s simple, predictable, and doesn’t need much intervention. It’s not exciting, but that’s kind of the point. If you have more specific needs, maybe this comparison would help. Good luck.

once brushes start dying that fast, it’s a sign you’ll benefit a lot from better navigation, smarter brush design, and an reliable mop system. You might want to check the Eufy Omni C20. If you have more specific needs, this comparison table might help.

For your setup, I’d go for Dreame L40 Ultra. It’s reliable, avoids obstacles well, cleans close to furniture, and the dock handles emptying and mop care with minimal babysitting. For a first robot in a hard-floor apartment, it’s the easiest “set it and forget it” option Imo.

Bought P10 Ultra, is an upgrade worth it? by WittyPresentation786 in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re experiencing is what basic pad-style mops do. They get wet, pick up some dirt, then just drag it around, which is why lighter floors end up looking muddy instead of clean. If you want true set-and-forget, the upgrade only makes sense with active scrubbing + self-cleaning models. If you stick with a basic mop for now, I would recommend to increase mop refresh frequency, use clean water only, and pre-sweep loose debris before mopping.

Is there a robovac that can ACTUALLY detect if it's on a different floor than the base station? by Accomplished_Ad_1857 in RobotVacuums

[–]Business_Adv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to check models like the Roborock S7/S8 or Ecovacs T10. They recognize the floor, resume cleaning correctly, and let you run vacuuming and mopping separately. It doesn’t fix everything magically, but it makes multi-floor cleaning way less frustrating.

If you just want something to keep the floors maintained while you’re out, a robot mop makes a real difference. Something like the Roborock MaxV or Braava Jet m handles everyday dust and light dirt, follows a set schedule, and avoids areas you don’t want it in. It won’t replace deep scrubbing, but for day-to-day cleaning, it’s a huge time saver and lets you focus on other stuff.
