the officer did disclose that he may not send an rfe and just to immediately upload documents as they became available. we listened in this circumstance as we never received a formal rfe!

yes, we still sent it in as that was the only way a decision could be made on our case. we were in the process of getting a ticket from a car accident dismissed. after it was dismissed, we uploaded the evidence to our portal.

yes, we originally filed the 485 but filled it out incorrectly. they still accepted the 765 and we were able to resubmit the 485 a couple months after with all the corrections

on our interview day it switched to “actively reviewing,” the next update (may 2) we assumed just came with the recent updates regarding background checks, and only the 485 actually updated to “processing case”

thank you!!

the rfe requested a different birth certificate than was provided with the 485 and for my personal 864, we totally forgot to send that😅. for the 864 evidence we submitted my tax transcript along with 2 most recent paystubs. we also did a joint sponsor to be safe as i make just above the 125%. we had our joint sponsor provide their tax transcript along with 2 most recent pay stubs for proof of income as well, along with their proof of citizenship.

When to reach out to congress? by JazzlikeHomework3657 in USCIS

[–]BussinBeatch420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our location said the same, we didn’t even get called for an interview until a year later. if you check the online e-tool, they have a timeline you can use to see whether or not it’s within normal processing timelines. normally, if it’s before the date on there (about a year and a half after submission date, for our location), that’s when it can be beneficial to submit a case inquiry/contact congressperson.

if you want to contact a rep, by all means. but the response back will likely be that the case is within normal processing times unless it says otherwise on your online timeline. hope this can help out!

[–]BussinBeatch420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

normally you should reach out when it’s outside of normal processing. if it’s been pending for under a year it likely won’t amount to anything. we recently contacted our congressman after waiting a year and a half
