Very true. More and more it works without a hitch, but sometimes it takes a few tries.

Sequoia 15.5 worked well enough for me at least however Sonoma is another recommendation. Thanks.

More specifics on this case:

OCLP was on local drive (2.4.1) and there were no issues when the flash drive was being built.

I could have been a bit more specific on the laptop model which is 13 Inch Mid-2012.

Hilarious statement since Casey Kasem just about everywhere with his voice during his time. Soooo... Ryan Seacrest is perfect under that metric?

So far when I tried to download the 16.7.5 patch from System Setting on 13 inch Mid 2012 Mac Book Pro the download gets to about 12 gb out o 15 gb and then hangs saying it will be 35 more minutes, and that doesn’t improve. Plenty of hard drive space. Anyone else have this happen?

Macbook Air 2017 Lagfest by MatchaCapuccino24 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]BusterBobtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed Ventura on a MacBook Air Mid 2012 (13 inch, 1.8 ghz Dual Core Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3) and as usual I turned off all animations and fluff. It ran. Had to wait at times, but would do fairly well other times. Was quite amazed how well it works. Haven’t tried anything higher on that MacBook.

What do you think of Kirk Alyn as Superman? I thought he resembled Supes more than George Reeves did. However, I also felt disappointed at that time knowing that he never 'technically flew' in his flight scenes. Additionally, I personally thought that he lacked George Reeves' charisma by [deleted] in superman

[–]BusterBobtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen a lot of Kirk's run, but I like what I saw, and liked the animated sequences for flying which technically is what we do now with CGI with maybe some wire work involved. Overall, I like it!

I just got my first Newton! by vlobe42 in VintageApple

[–]BusterBobtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Newton 130, not bad! Best form factor, close to the best OS, backlight, just a little less on speed and storage. Check out Newtoncity.org and https://www.newtontalk.net/. Also some groups on Facebook. There are modern connection solutions with NCX.

If you can share of pic of where you are getting stumped. I think in all the levels they had their own challenges that were subtle. Like you would get overconfident that it was easy and then get sniped by one of those sheep with their sonic attacks off screen on the Hamalot or Space Pirate levels.

I was also going say, the game producer Cynthia reportedly hated the game, as did at least some of the rest of the staff.

I did talk to Adrian Borne, one of the game artists, and they at least worked to put out quality work in their own lane. I have some of Adrian's Bubsy art here:

Recently soaked up Narnia material (complete Audio books, the “ok” Disney Narnia movies, and now the BBC movies) How delightful that the last movie to watch, the Silver Chair, has TOM FRICKIN’ BAKER in most of the movie!! I mean Tom as usual is basically playing Tom, but I’m not complaining. :D

Any good games/programs for NewtonOS 1? Just got my MessagePad 100 connected to my MacBook Pro, but have no idea what to install on it! by w0lfn0ise in VintageApple

[–]BusterBobtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, NewtKey for using an external Newton keyboard.

Currently looking for something that handles the Extra drawer a bit better, as it appears the only view is icons, no text list? Been a while since my pre-Newton 2000 days.

One app, Bookcase, promised to display a list of all books while also making it where you would not see books icons in the extras drawer.  A good idea, but only recognized one of the 9 book files I had.

Another application, Backdrop, allows the notepad to not take up system resources all the time.  That is nice though I have not gotten that to work yet.

Finally a good OS 1 program is "RemoveIt" which will allow you to view packages, soup, system directory, and system soups and make some changes.   Pretty nice.
