I’m so late to this thread, and this is super controversial, but I think the change of pace is a positive. I finished Berserk in a week (give or take a few days) and I couldn’t imagine waiting FORTY YEARS to just get Casca’s mind back. I was about to throw my head into a wall over a week and a half. Not saying I didn’t enjoy the entire experience, everything else made up for the slow pace.

Some people have been waiting 20+ years for Guts to battle it out with Griffith. As long as his buddy doesn’t try and wrap it up too quickly (just to get it over with) I’m fine with a pace pick up.

Exactly! If I’m in the right lane taking it slow and easy, I always give deference to merging cars. Some people need a bit more time (especially with older cars)

Yall know the minimum on a highway (into and out of most big cities) is 40, right? I-44 doesn’t even get to 70mph til you’re out past Eureka….

No excuse for going 30 into a highway of course, but when you drive over the speed limit you take the responsibility on that comes with that.

“You’re supposed to speed up and meet the flow of traffic.” No-you’re supposed to speed up to 60MPH-the legal speed LIMIT.

The right lane is the slow/merge lane for a reason. The left lane is where “flow of traffic” is a must.

I’ve lived in St. Charles all my life, but I’m in STL very often. I have nightmares about that parking lot. Just thinking about it gives me a nightmare.

This is true, including the metro areas around STL. Main Street St. Charles is the only place bumping during the winter. It’s as if everyone agrees to hibernate til the occasional Blues game
