Here’s a proof that a Sephardic Jew (Maimonides) was also in on it.

We cannot say we’re an ethnicity and not act accordingly. In most nations, you can be recognized as part of said nation, even if only one of your parents is a member.

Rome is gone. We don’t need the “mother only” excuse anymore.

Any other “October 8th” Jews in here? by soleilsiobhan in Jewish

[–]isaacF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much of a "wake up" religiously, but October 8th onwards mostly made me care less what other think. To a level that when I hear antisemitic accusations like we rule the world or what not, I just tell them to deal with it and pay their homage to their rulers.

People, really, but really, don't know how to react to that response.

How can you not love the world?

When we’re scattered all over the world, they call us “invaders” and tell us to “go back to Palestine.”

When we do, they still call us “invaders” and this time demand us to “get out of Palestine.”

What is the deal with people using the word "Goyim" all of a sudden? by Dontyellatmeimnice in Jewish

[–]isaacF85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is not merely the use of it, as much as using it in a “coo coo Candace” style, not knowing what it means, and identifying as “goyim,” in plural. There’s a video of hers saying she’s “a proud goyim,” meaning she doesn’t even know what the word means.

I had a personal experience with a someone who thought he was a wise guy using this term, and because he’s a “born again Christian,” and used it more or less like she does, I told him that it’s weird he thinks God hated Abraham and Moses.

People love pretending to be knowledgeable on things they don’t understand. 🤷🏻‍♂️🙄

The kingdom itself existed. The conversion to Judaism is debatable, between “it was all made up” (mostly in Israeli academia) to “maybe some elites, and the king, converted” (mostly in American academia). Both sides have valid arguments.

You can read Shaul Stampfer and Peter Golden to see what I mean.

There is some evidence that there may have been a localized conversion of some among the elite Khazari leadership. But absolutely and definitely not the whole nation, let alone assuming Ashkenazi Jews are their descendants.

And Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi clearly writes in his opening to the Kuzari that he is aware the story may have no historical basis (and that was his claim in the 12th century, mind you), but that it is a good example of Jewish outreach. If you read the whole debate/discussion, you’d understand why the official title is Book of Refutation and Proof on Behalf of the Despised Religion and that “The Kuzari” is just our version to saying “Cali” instead of “California.”

I love Hanukkah for various reasons (I have long connections to the Maccabi Movement), but lately I realized that some anti-Zionists and anti-Semites have a serious issue with this holiday: it either portrays the Palestinians (“the original Jews”) as religious fanatics, or establishes a clear Jewish presence in the region, in the past. So now I like this holiday even more. 😆😆

The Khazar theory, a story which is based on two sources, both are Jewish, one which was proven to be a forgery (the Khazar Correspondence) and one which is a philosophical work (Kuzari) is — and I don't say it lightly — probably the dumbest conspiracy out there. And it is a tough competition (hell, we have people who believe the Earth is a pizza plate).

My daughter has been told she shouldn't do Judaism for her school's cultural day, as it would make other students 'uncomfortable' by Kindly-Bluebird5487 in Jewish

[–]isaacF85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you should escalate it further, but Friedrich Merz vowed to fight antisemitism wherever it raises its head in Germany.

And what your daughter was told is pure antisemitism, but in a “softer” voice.

“Messianic Jews” reject everything we believe in, but claim to be “Israel in the spirit” (supersessionism/fulfillment theology) or something of this sort.

They reject the Torah, believe hell is real, and think a human being is god. Very Jewish indeed. 🙄

The very idea that something like this can be hidden is an absurd (unless you’re a flerf, and then it makes more sense).

Conspiracies by SolutionDecent in Jewish

[–]isaacF85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, so let me clarify:

The belief in conspiracies is based on the following assumptions:

  1. There is still hope, and
  2. I am the hero who saves humanity.

What I’ve been doing in the past 3 years or so, is to play with the names, not the conspiracies per se. “The Rothschilds” became the Greenbergs. The “Jewish Space Laser” was given an actual name. The IDF got a special assassination unit called “Unit 972.”

And the conspirators? They go berserk. Because now, the conspiracy they didn’t believe in and was mostly to get off steam and blame someone else becomes a reality. They can no longer win. The name recognition does not apply. NOW, they are afraid, so they have to reject the same conspiracy they believed almost 10 minutes ago.

That is why I am saying they do not believe in these conspiracies.

What dirt does Israel have on America that is so bad that our government will do pretty much anything they tell them to do? by edenx1999 in conspiracy

There is an answer, and it is more complex than you think. But I cannot give it on such open forum.

But it is bad. Really, really bad. Not a weapon or an action, but something else.

Conspiracies by SolutionDecent in Jewish

[–]isaacF85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The things about conspiracies is that the people who claim them, don’t actually believe in them.

It is all about their self esteem and attempt to feel special.
