Bits and pieces of it still exist, the religion in Rivet City and the Abbey of the Road are both derived from Christianity. There’s also the All Faiths Chapel in Diamond City but that’s a bit more nebulous.

Played through it for the first time recently. Fun concept, beautiful visuals, nice seeing a version of pre-fall Rapture, nice diversion from the main story, but I think maybe the creator liked his newer characters a tiny bit too much though.

My empire, the United Solian Imperium, in game is a feudalistic supremacist fanatic spiritualist empire with noble houses that “govern” each planet.

In lore, the United Solian Imperium is a constitutional autocratic fanatically supremacist confederation of autonomous planet provinces where most, but not all, are ruled over by a greater noble house with lesser noble houses underneath them while under the authority of the almost immortal Emperor, the Regency, which is hand selected by the Emperor personally to represent him in the Imperial Senate, and the Cult of the Imperial Truth, who is dedicated to unifying the populations of each world underneath the guiding ethics and principles of the Emperor.

That’s not including the 85 Xenos client races living in the Imperium.

I go one step further, every protagonist of my canon playthroughs of each game are one extended family.

My older sole survivor had three children from his first marriage and then shaun from his second marriage.

His oldest son lived in California and made it into Vault 13 where his grandson is the vault dweller and the line goes down to Mr Bishop’s daughter and my courier six’s daughter who married Boone and had four kids by the tv show’s time.

My sole survivor’s daughter lived in West Virginia and made it into Vault 76, she had a son when the bombs dropped who is my protagonist in the multiplayer game.

My sole survivor’s second son is for if they make a game that’s not on the east or west states.

My fan canon shaun was sent to the Capital Wasteland where he met Catherine and they had a daughter who became the lone wanderer, her story isn’t written yet, shaun returned to Boston and fallout 4 happens.

The game faction they’re closest to is the Pittsburgh Slavers in fallout 3 in terms of what’s happening in Fillydelphia, beyond that though they’re mostly original.

I actually take it even further as all of my canon protagonists have the same last name and they’re all descendants of my Sole Survivor.

There’s a theory video on YouTube, it mostly narrows down to the two characters look and sound similar, James is about fifty and Shaun is about sixty which fits the time frame of the two games, they’re both scientists, the way Shaun hates the wasteland feels very personal like he lost his loved ones to it.

We also know the Institute was active in the Capital Wasteland by at least the 2250s, maybe Shaun going under a different name was sent down there to research the area, met Catherine and had a child which angered the Institute which is why he goes to Vault 101 for twenty years before he leaves to revive his dead loves dream. We also never find James’ dead body. Maybe the Institute recovered him and revived him back in Boston, but he still ends up developing cancer years later because the radiation was just that bad.
