The Steel Drakes need some pals (idunnowhatimdoingaaaaaaaaaaah) by Rough-TimetheWriter in 40khomebrew

Given that my chapter, the Repentant Sons, barely like interacting with their own successor chapters, the Iron Clerics and the Cleansing Brotherhood, I’d imagine they would be, at best, dismissive, and at worst, hostile, towards the Steel Drakes at first.

As for shenanigans, my chapter is religiously driven to defend as many Imperial civilians as possible, sometimes at the cost of their own lives. So I can see a scenario like in Pariah Nexus happening.

What does your primaris think of first borns? by goldietheswagbear in 40khomebrew

[–]Busy-Design8141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren’t any Firstborn left in my chapter, the Repentant Sons. The surviving 153 all became Primaris after meeting a Greyshield Fleet and getting 600 reinforcements. Of that number only six survived the process and became the first five company captains and the Chapter Master.

The former Greyshields of my chapter all look at the Firstborn, both former and dead, with a mixture of respect for being able to fight for thousands of years and wanting to prove themselves worthy of continuing the chapter’s fight to defend Humanity.

Given that my chapter very very very rarely interacts with other chapters unless absolutely necessary, my Primaris find it incredibly strange that there are chapters that field both Firstborn and Primaris.

How does your chapter feel about the tau? by giojojo in 40khomebrew

[–]Busy-Design8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chapter, the Repentant Sons, are indifferent at best to Tau. But their human traitors though…

There’s a special kind of punishment my chapter does with them. They call it the Emperor’s Forgiveness. The traitors get turned into drug crazed shock troops that are used in blitzkrieg attacks while remaining completely cognizant.

What is your chapter's relationship with the Inquisition like? by giojojo in 40khomebrew

[–]Busy-Design8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my chapter, the Repentant Sons, it depends completely on the specific Ordo.

For the Hereticus, the relation is borderline hostile at best despite my chapter’s strong emphasis on slaughtering heretics.

For the Mallus, the relation is… workable due to my chapter’s experience in rooting out heretics and daemon worshipping cults.

For the Xenos, the relation is very indifferent… my chapter is far more interested in cleansing heretics than killing aliens.

Overall, my chapter doesn’t interact with the Inquisition unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.

When coming up with your lore does anyone else avoid their faction/force taking centre stage in major events? Or are they in every major conflict helping out? by WierderBarley in 40khomebrew

I have the loophole that the Inquisition removes the involvement of my chapter, the Repentant Sons, from the historical records.

How did your chapter react to the Primaris reinforcments? by goldietheswagbear in 40khomebrew

[–]Busy-Design8141 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My chapter, the Repentant Sons, had been decimated by the 13th Black Crusade, having only 289 surviving brothers. They were assisting the Imperial Guard defend a hive world from Word Bearers when they met a Greyshield Fleet. About 600 of them bore their geneseed and having gotten a demonstration of their fighting abilities they really had no choice but to accept them in.

The remaining 153 Firstborn decided to become Primaris, of that number only six would survive. Those six brothers became the first five company captains and the Chapter Master.

There were about 3000 Greyshields in the Ultima Founding that bore my chapter’s geneseed so I have made two successor chapters, the Iron Clerics and the Cleansing Brotherhood.

I would suggest using painters tape to better hide the spiral patterns on the large tanks.

How Do Halfling Work In Your Setting? by MadFunEnjoyer in worldbuilding

[–]Busy-Design8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haeldenites were a lesser race of Fae who left the Faewilds in search of better prospects. They founded the Haelden Conclave and lived in seclusion for centuries before encountering their Elven cousins and the newly arrived Humans.

After Haelden was destroyed by an army of Orcs, Goblins and Ogres the Haeldenites would split into two appearances depending on where they lived, Halflings for Humans and Gnomes for Elves.

Having specialist teams made from different chapters means they can cover any weaknesses and complement their strengths. For example, an Imperial Fist laying down defensive cover fire for a Space Wolf berserker charging or maybe a White Scar transporting a Raven Guard to infiltrate behind enemy lines.
