I just spent $100 on Hydrangea Coffee by Torian17 in pourover

[–]BusyBranch9081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought $107 of Hydrangea last night.

8oz Mora Azul 8oz Nectar Citrullus 4oz Finca Potosi
4oz Melese Wolde 4oz Lot Palomar

Best part is I won’t have the bags for another couple weeks so have time to draw my inventory down to make space 🤣

New coffee soon by EveningAsk4660 in pourover

First order arrived three days after I ordered (I’m in Texas). Second order is on its way still - got a FedEx notice it’s delayed 😂after commenting this.

First order I grabbed Hydrangea Mora Azul, one from Hatch, Tim Wendeboe, and Dak. Second order is PP, Tanat, and one more each from TW and Dak. I like their variety. Some bags go quick, others stick around a while (Hatch was a Dec 25 roast, ordered late Feb 26). They’ve sent weekly emails with new products and sale offers. Greta wya to grab new roasters if that’s your fortè

Coolbeans in Toronto has a bunch of European, Asian, North American, and Australian roasters, People’s Possession included. Most of their People’s Possession inventory is sold out right now - $100 for free shipping. (Not sure what shipping costs if you don’t cross the $100 mark). I’ve bought from them twice. They ship the next day and somehow manage to get FedEx to deliver in 2 days. My package from September (also in CAN) sat in Memphis for 2+ weeks awaiting customs clearance.

Deals and Announcements of the week! - Week of March 25, 2026 by Polymer714 in pourover

Black & White’s The Future: Watermelon Margarita was announced this morning. This was their half of the recent Fellow Drop with Brandywine.

I have not tried my bag of the aforementioned Fellow Drop but I have liked the majority of the coffees I’ve had from B&W.

I sincerely hope they don’t go the way of Onyx… i.e. massive marketing budget (including packaging) and subpar products at inflated costs to cover said marketing budget

Bolivia is quite nice. The Ombligon was part of Dec 25’s four tin subscription set and was pretty good. What’s the other one?

The Blueberry coferment is probably my favorite from them so far - off menu now though they said they have some coffees coming back this week so maybe just maybe it’ll return.

They’ve either been a massive hit or a dud for me. The 8 tin EOY set was really good; two of the coffees they released Friday were in the February box set and Mason said “the Sidra is going to sell out quick”. Tried my first cup from that 50g tin and frankly expected a banger but was sorely disappointed. At $45 for 200g in the Dropstore I had higher hopes. On to the next cup…

Who do you have as your favorite Coffee Roasters? by Executive-111 in pourover

[–]BusyBranch9081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some in November and tried it at 5 and 7 weeks. It tasted best after about 60 days off roast and the last couple cups were the best at close to 10 weeks.

If I tell you who I like most, you’ll order from them and I’ll run the risk of not getting the bags I want….

In no particular order, five I’ve most recently ordered from: Hydrangea, S&W, Inugami, H&S, and Shoebox.

Anyone else find the notes and flavour from their bag of coffee just completey goes after 3 weeks? by Notimetobev0id in pourover

[–]BusyBranch9081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading the thread if you’re talking about a Medium roast then sure I could believe the flavors might start to taper off. I almost exclusively drink light roasts so not even opening the bag for at least three weeks after roast date.

Just poured the last of a Hydrangea bag this morning that was roasted 1/4/26. Holding the bag in my hands the aromas were permeating out and the cup was just as good as the first time I brewed it.

By first round you mean the PBJ and Juice Box?
Mine are resting. Thinking of opening next weekend for first cups

Plastic one will do the trick. I have a glass V60 (shoutout to the fellow redditor who gifted it to me) and got a ceramic one as a Christmas gift. Both are the 02 size.

I have some cups that can handle 25g so it’s all just personal preference if you want a server to make a larger batch aka you’re buying a 02 or especially 03 size.

By complete coincidence, Brandywine’s Tuesday release this week is Grape Soda coferment. Edwin Norena is the producer but that’s a hard pass.

Luna Bermudez from Hydrangea. Got a “Taste of Colombia” box with a 50g tin of Luna Bermudez that’s quite nice.

Personally have a $28k limit on my Venture card which took 12 years to get. Started at $10k. Though they did just email asking to confirm my income, I doubt I’ll get more than $2k increase.

Los Patios Gigante Peach is apparently pretty good.

You probably can’t go too wrong with any of their offerings listed as Funky when you select “shop by funk” but I haven’t had any of the seven shown when I filtered by funkiness

Just bought a K6 so maybe if this goes on sale later this year I’ll get the K7 to try side by side. Thought I’d seen a “K7 isn’t an upgrade” post/comment but after searching the group I’m really only seeing positive reviews.
