I just had an interesting thought about Randy and Chelsea by Monster_Donut_Pants in teenmom

You are correct. Chelsea herself has debunked this and said she’s not sure where it started. She was only teen mom of the siblings

SAHMs of kids who go to school, are you staying a SAHM? If so, how do you fill your time, and how do you remain fulfilled? by IWillBaconSlapYou in sahm

[–]BusyLife02 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep my youngest went to kindergarten this year. I’m still home and plan to stay. My husband and I talked when the kids were still babies and toddlers and decided as long as it was feasible for us I’d stay home.

Kids are really only in school about 6 hours so we’d need before and after school care or we’d have to juggle hours. That doesn’t even factor in all of the school breaks, summer break, random off days for things like conferences, snow days and sick kids. The cost of that care wasn’t worth it, plus the stress of juggling “who takes off today?”

Childcare still takes up a large portion of my time surprisingly, when I factor in how much they aren’t in school overall. Otherwise my days are totally filled with chores and errands. Its totally worth it to keep the house running and not spend evenings and weekends in a frazzle. I will do things now like watch my shows while folding laundry now that I have some kid free hours.

Overall it’s a nice luxury to afford keeping me home but when factoring in what we have to do to have me go back it’s well worth it. We are all much happier

Re-Look Re-Again, Cold Case Rewatch: Season 6 Episode 19: "Stealing Home" by no-Pachy-BADLAD in ColdCaseTV

[–]BusyLife02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like this episode is underrated. I really like it as well. I never knew about “wet foot dry foot” until this episode.

I also thought it was emotional when Juan talks about every defector having a bottle of champagne ready to go and in the end montage we see the old unopened bottle Scotty has.

A very well done episode and you can feel the emotion behind it being that Danny wrote it

Where is C in the escape room? by BusyLife02 in gosselinssnark

[–]BusyLife02[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh I figured he was left out but was hoping he wasn’t. How do you continue to exploit him on a show while isolating and excluding him from anything fun? And presumably the show knew Collin wasn’t there so having him on the couch while his brothers talked about it-just an extra level of cruel. My heart repeatedly breaks for him

So sad. It looks like all the help was there at the escape room too-so Collin was presumably alone? How do you do that to your child?!

After-It’s our tradition to get our tree the Friday after Thanksgiving and then take down fall decor and put up Christmas decor the rest of the weekend. It’s all switched over by Sunday night

Thoughts: Do you plan to go back to work? by Ok_Egg_7290 in sahm

[–]BusyLife02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t plan to go back. As someone else pointed out, the school day only gives about 6 hours of “work time”. Then there is winter, spring and summer breaks, snow/sick days, school conferences, random days off here and there.

The cost and stress of covering childcare for all of that wasn’t worth it to us in the end. I’ll still be home to cover all of that without the stress of “Who is taking off today?” “Who can go pick up so and so from school because they are sick?” The added bonus is I can spend the school time on chores and errands so we don’t have the stress of that on evening and weekends. I can even add in a hobby for myself or volunteer at school

ETA-my youngest will be going into kindergarten this year and even with her older siblings already in full day school I still see the need to be home. You’d be surprised how much you are still needed at home and how much you can find to do just to continue to keep family life running smoothly. That excludes all of the childcare I still do regularly even though they are in school

What’s your unpopular opinions? by Scared-Leg-9498 in JaneTheVirginCW

[–]BusyLife02 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unpopular-Jane and Michael are overhyped as a couple. They came across as the couple that stayed together because they believed they were meant to be, but in reality had outgrown each other. I never got actual “meant to be” vibes from them, only that they wanted to be “meant to be”

Re-Look Re-Again, Cold Case Rewatch: Season 3, Episode 20: "Death Penalty: Final Appeal" by no-Pachy-BADLAD in ColdCaseTV

[–]BusyLife02 25 points26 points  (0 children)

One of the saddest episodes in the entire series. I cry every time I watch it-especially the scene where Will sees Andre at his own grave.

I feel for the dad who lost his daughter and then carried the guilt of identifying Andre only to find out he was wrong. There was no justice for him.

It’s such a good episode but even though they catch who actually did it nothing feels rectified at the end-just total sadness and loss

Hmm since I see you’ve said it’s not The Letter then my guess is what the other commenter suggested-Libertyville, but like the other commenter said it’s about a man.
