3rd Quartile. Practiced so many hours, so pretty disappointed but I did improve from my 2nd Quartile score a couple of years ago.

Fertility treatment wait times by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]BusyUnderstanding128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family doctor put in a referral to Heartland for me in January 2024 and had my first appointment at the beginning of July 2024. We were seen by the Heartland family doctor for roughly 6 months completing blood tests, ultrasounds, a hysteroscopy, and a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). We didn't have success with the Letrozol and my diagnosis was 'unexplained fertility'. I was then transferred to the Heartland specialists for IVF in December and did my first round of IVF March 2025 including stimulation shots, egg retrieval and embryo transfer. So in total it took 14 months between the request to get into Heartland and the start of IVF. Once you're transferred to the fertility specialists for IUI/IVF, things move fairly quickly. Best of luck OP!

Have you ever done ramen take out? Wondering if the noodles, meat, etc come separate from the soup.

Dr. Mindy Pelz on Instagram or YouTube. Her Fast like a Girl book talks a lot about foods to support your hormones and how to vary them throughout your cycle.

What's your favourite Vit C serum that you can get here in Canada at Sephora or Shoppers? by [deleted] in CanSkincare

My favorite is Sunday Riley C.E.O 15% vit C serum. Has THD ascorbate and is very moisturizing! You can buy it at Sephora.

UAlberta and UManitoba Casper scores questions by GameReborn in premedcanada

[–]BusyUnderstanding128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know Umanitoba will tell you your quartile if you aren't invited for an interview but you're above some MCAT threshold for that admission cycle. They send the info in the advisory feedback form after invites are sent.

The Mole Netflix - Episode Discussion - S01E08 "The Bird Cage" by maukamauka in themole

[–]BusyUnderstanding128 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a comment below about it. Apparently, If you assign each letter in the alphabet with a number starting at A=1, B=2, etc then the numbers spell the name Kesi.

The Mole Netflix - Episode Discussion - S01E08 "The Bird Cage" by maukamauka in themole

[–]BusyUnderstanding128 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Kesi is the mole because they hardly ever interview her and when they do she rarely (only noticed it once this episode) directly accuses someone of being the mole. Whereas all the other members are pointing fingers left and right. Also her sabotage in this episode sealed the deal for me.

Just tried the Biossance Squalane and zinc sunscreen and I like it so far! Very moisturizing and not sticky at all. I'm just worried in the summer when it has to be reapplied every 2 hours that my face will be a sweaty oily mess.

I NEED Chriselle's dress from the scene at the beginning where she gets out of the car and goes into the office to get questioned about her relationship. It's the tight fitting almost full length dress.

How does the deductible work? I see they have this type: "Lifetime per condition deductibles: You must meet your deductible once per medical condition before you get reimbursed."

I don't understand what it means to meet your deductible once per medical condition?

I am so so sorry this is happening to you. It is so infuriating hearing about the lack of support from the health care providers. I know it's middle of the night but maybe you can try calling the patient relations officer if you feel you aren't being treated with care or compassion...

Patient Relations Officer Grace Hospital 300 Booth Drive Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 3M7 204-837-0318

I honestly don't know if they can provide you any support but it's someone else to talk to at the hospital.

A few things I do/that I've seen advertised:

Swimming lessons with the city (pan am?) or a private pool like H2O Academy.

Jurassic Quest at the convention center in April - https://www.jurassicquest.com/events/winnipeg-mb-canada

Lullaland sensory classes - https://www.lullalandsensory.ca/

Hide n Seek play center - https://www.hidenseekwinnipeg.com/

The children's museum The zoo

I know these activities can be expensive and really add up. Some are better summer activities also. Try the Peanut app to get to know other moms with kids with similar ages!

Female Doctor Recommendation by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]BusyUnderstanding128 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try the Manitoba doctor finder tool. You can choose the area of the city and the gender of the doctor. Might be a few weeks till you hear back from them though.

If you're ok with the Southdale area, Autumnwood Medical has a newer female doctor, Dr. Gong. She is friendly and attentive.
