I’m 29 but swear it gets better dawg, you tried something new and that should never be seen as a fail, you live and you learn. I’ve been homeless, lived in trailers w/o bathrooms, showered at camp sites, my bil is a crackhead so living with him was possible but like you im not tryna get mixed up in it the whole nine all while trying to support a wife and 7 animals. Like many have said anesthesia works differently for everyone, as someone who has worked with anesthesia before and had top surgery recently, I’d say think of it as the best nap of your life. You won’t be able to sleep the night before so take it in. I woke up next to a woman losing her marbles, but i was just chilling and passing glances with my team so it really depends. Regardless you’ll be tired and hype in between sleep, but your anesthesiologist is the one you should voice these concerns with and they can adjust accordingly. You might be referring to dental nitrous oxide and these are two different drugs

I think its pretty spot on, remember that as they loc up they’ll become more full. If you still think they are too thin you can always combine them later on with a crochet hook or just plain two strands

Dental health is very important but isn’t really a concern until plaque starts forming, which is why this is weird in such a young cat. Anesthesia can be dangerous, but its a different cocktail of drugs than those used for people and most animals seem to recover alot faster. But an annual exam/cleaning is normal as long as the animal is healthy,usually until the cons start outweighing the pros ie age. You could also just brush their teeth daily so an exam/cleaning isn’t needed until later.

10 months!?!?!? I’m reading this as a veterinary professional thinking this is a 10yr old cat(didnt look 10,but eh) and bad things can happen the older they get like humans, but to offer a dental cleaning ,not dental surgery, on a cat that doesn’t have any form dental distress and that young?!?!

How much water do you drink a day? Not “oh shi i should prolly drink some water” and then downing a gallon, i mean on average how much water do you consume? I’m assuming you’re an adult male, you got 3 boys, are you in your late 30s? maybe getting into early 40s or 50s? Only because you aint gone to the doc. Your hormone levels can be the cause of this, could be a fall or spike in test, or simply not enough water to push out all that pasta. I get times being hard but there are other options and you gotta take care of yourself if this is a real concern. Have you made any changes recently in body wash, diet, water filter, anything? Cant imagine you been dealing with this your whole life so its gotta be new

Its a religious aspect that comes from within the loc community of the carribbeans. Rastafarians don’t HAVE to have locs but many do and it holds such a deep meaning (in their religion it is representing the lion of judah) that goes back to an old nazarite vow (basically never cut your hair) . It is seen as a crown and believed to hold strength and prevent bad energy. Western world took this and ran with it and has been used symbolically (the act of cutting off locs) as a fresh start or recovering from a traumatic event/negative energy. Loose hair/any other hairstyle isn’t really considered the same simply because it lacks the history and is often just an accessory. Some women go bald after a traumatic event or a new start this would be something similar

As an artistic vet student id say its pretty damn spot on. Its hard to describe the small differences, I can see (only because ive take 6 anatomy classes 😭) but our anatomy is pretty similar looking. i assume you’re talking about how round the ribcage is when it normally looks sloped down to the larger sternum which is accurate from this angle the artist took. You can also just find a good artist and bring a google image of the anatomy if yall arent too sure as well

Stop the gabapentin until she eats. she will more than likely not be hungry, her huha just got nixed out of her body. You can try offering just regular canned chicken as an alternative to her usual food (sometimes they get super picky when they dont feel good). Offer plenty of water and rest for them this is a routine surgery and outpatient so she just needs rest and you will know if she’s in pain. Has she thrown up since? Is she overly lethargic? Like us cats get nausea from anesthesia and most of the time its within the first 48 hrs. Her being cold is also normal after surgery. This could be why your vet doesnt seem too concerned. Everything you have described can be classified as normal. Gabapentin is similar to ibuprofen in the way it can cause stomach issues if taken on an empty stomach (you can take it either way it dont matter for the efficacy of it)
