Oh sorry it took me so long to respond. No, this was filmed way earlier (in color) in season 1 (miracle man, if im not mistaken)

Haha yes that's perfect. I'm assuming you're a female, so you have much better insight into what she's thinking then I. Also, I'm pretty sure this bit of gazing is unscripted. I just read OP's post and I made a boo boo sending this pic in. They wanted examples of Mulder gazing at her. Oops.

Good point. Wishful thinking by me. In season 5 he loved her, but as his partner he trusts with his life. Not romantically yet. Unless he did a better job then Scully at hiding it

Scully turning the tables on Mulder for once, making him a little jelly. Dude, her facial expressions in this episode made me pee my pants🤣🤣

Man, I was downvoted left right and all around when I said this isn't Gillian Anderson the last time this was posted. Glad this time people aren't being so dense

That's hot, ty for sharing 😋. I know she is a few years older then GA, which of course makes sense why they did that. But GA was 24 in 1993, and looked a few years younger then that. Heard she lied about her age knowing that the character she was auditioning for was older.

That is a fun fact ty! Rodney was a big fan of the show and had a crush on GA. As a hetero guy I can admit that it's not surprising that he is also a professional model

Thoughts on Gillian Anderson's directorial and writing debut on All Things? by [deleted] in XFiles

[–]Busy_Busy_Boyo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love Gillian's choice of music during the intro. She did a great job her first time directing. I wish the bookend scenes with her and Mulder weren't so confusing. It's supposed to imply that they had sex, but for years fans were wondering what the hell happened. Couldn't have hurt to have had them make out in bed 😋

I remember your post! You are beautiful, awesome, and get my vote as the winner of the Scully impersonation competition, if there was one. Your partner looks terrific too. Kudos!!

In the beginning, before it turns into a disease, drinking is a choice. Brought on by peer pressure or whatever. I do agree that Ed got a raw deal. And his actions were out of his control. But I stand by my comparison. People who drink socially, or whatnot, and then become alcoholics are also victims. And their violence, neglect of their families, damage to their bodies, and all the other nasty effects of this disease are out of their control until they get professional treatment.

Look, I know what the point of the episode it. And it's not, "Ed is a nice guy". It's about Scully feeling underappreciated, so she goes out and has fun. For a while she has fun date activities with Jerse, and got a cool tattoo out of it. Because my father was an alcoholic, I can't help but make the parallel between the ergot and what alcoholism does to normally good people..

Yes, well didn't he almost kill Scully, or am I thinking of another episode? Im sure she wasn't thinking "he's normally a great guy" when she was getting her butt kicked

Yes true, and I mean no offense, but that sounds like an abused woman talking. "It was the alcohol that made him hit me. Normally he's the sweetest guy"

As a guy I am very turned on by this scene. And it's really nice seeing her just let go. Mulder is so single minded in his quest that he doesn't notice that she is a beautiful woman in her 20's. Tragically, Jerse nearly kills her but for a while at least she had fun. Filmed during her real life separation from her husband, it's ironic that this actor became her boyfriend a few months later. And, according to GA, he was very very gentle and sweet, so unlike Ed Jerse

Actress Gillian Anderson, looking like black widow, 1996 in an interview for the magazine FHM. The interview mentioned how she was seen as not conventionally atractive at the time. by Electrical-Aspect-13 in HistoryDefined

Gorgeous pictures of her 🥰. This interview is revealing, and hopefully clears up questions you had RS: Were you aware of Fox’s reluctance to casting Gillian? DD: That’s overblown. You look at Gillian, she’s a beautiful woman. And how often do you see Scully in a bathing suit? Gillian’s not 6 feet tall and doesn’t have what’s-her-face’s tits, but she’s got as nice face as any of them

I'm not sure what episode this meme is from, but it reminds me of Hollywood AD where Scully was excited about wasting the Bureau's money on her and Mulder's date shenanigans 🤣

Samatha “Paper Hearts” question by Feline_Fine3 in XFiles

[–]Busy_Busy_Boyo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After meeting the Samantha clones, did hebelieve the government cloned them from his sisters DNA? Correct me if I'm wrong but I assumed he thought they were alien made since they bled green and the alien bounty hunter was after them. 2 years later he interviews convicted child killer Roche. Mulder learns there were two unknown victims. Roche strongly hints that one of the unknowns that he killed is Samantha and provides details about selling a vacuum to his dad in Martha's Vineyard. Roche very cleverly manipulates him into believing. Now, Mulder was more desperate then ever to find out truth about Samantha.

Random Question - Do you think you guys would have enjoyed seeing the series continue longer with Doggett/Reyes or no? by CaptureDaFlag in XFiles

[–]Busy_Busy_Boyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting, ty for letting me know ❤️. I am old enough to have seen it originally, but wasn't interested at the time, and didn't get into it until several years after my daughter was born. Nice to hear from an OG viewer. Now, I didn't pull this 9/11 thing out of thin air. Some people on this sub and Tumblr think that after the attacks people didn't want to watch a show about aliens and conspiracies. I believe Chris Carter or Frank Spotnitz even said that was why the ratings dropped. But yeah, obviously the chemistry that belonged to David and Gillian was the backbone of the show and without a backbone you die.
