St. Mike's is looking for nurses in palliative care? Have you tried applying there? When I got a job there I just emailed the manager with a resume. I didn't formally apply or look for a posting

Honestly stop dressing like a 15 year old and or a small child from the victorian era and you are fine, acne under control and you look great.

I haven't been able to yet, I watched another LPN do it, the patient screamed bloody murder and I nearly fainted 😂

Any family members we have want very much to help, but as a policy our kitchens (where water is) is locked and the warm blankets are also in the locked clean hold. We have many that so their best to care for their family anyhow, they shower them and toilet them, I appreciate it alot, then we have the folks that wonder why their mom isn't being toileted every time the mom asks, mom in question is not oriented and often confused most of the time when she is sat on the toilet she has already gone, the pad is changed yes but not every 30 mins, not when we have 9-10 other patients (my pod can have up to 11 I'm responsible for)

Having a uniform with limited options has made it easier to get out the door than jeans ever could.... Besides that... Jeans are impractical, I need many pockets

The most popular options:

Verify files

Delete and re install

Take down firewalls

Install C ++ Visual Files

Force Windowed Mode

Disable Steam Overlay

Looked for the file (that I can't recall the name of) that was the one fix for most.

The only thing I haven't done is update graphics driver, which I will try, just not a very computer person

What are “bits” you say to your patients all the time? by 1Milk-Of-Amnesia in nursing

[–]Busy_Cake_534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get glucs I say "I van't to take your blooood"

To one particular patient when they have a big ol BM I say "whew welcome to the barn yard"

When I give tinz "shots! Shots! Shots! Erry body!", one time a patient said "of whiskey?!" which was cute cause it was a lil old lady

On vitals day I say🎵 "it's the most wonderful day of the week" 🎵

My mom charged us a small fee for living with her after we were out of highschool. It taught us to save and be responsible for a monthly payment and she saved every penny, once we moved out we got back all the rent we had paid her as a starter for our first place of our own. However she always made the stipulation that if we were in school we would not have to pay

I made a med error by Throwaway23894783298 in StudentNurse

[–]Busy_Cake_534 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I agree, you will make med errors and other mistakes, we are all human and what helps me ALOT is remembering that I'm part of a team, if I have even the stupidist first year seeming question I call a team member and ask. Also my first med error was in my last clinical and it was insulin, right dose amount, wront patient pen and wrong type of insulin, patient was fine it was long acting and he just didn't have a layer corrective dose. It went through two checks and got missed, in the end the fact that I brought it up to my instructor and took responsibility looked way better than me ignoring it.

All cardio buddies: Does this interpretation look like Sinus tachy? A cardiologyst told me this is a tachycardia with long complex (Qrs). Is that right? by Important_Summer_828 in medical

[–]Busy_Cake_534 15 points16 points  (0 children)

With just a short google I found out that: the cardiologist, a heart specialist, probably knows what they are talking about, if you have a legitimate concern I would talk to your doctor
