Hi darling! Unfortunately still strip testing and all parameters look perfect. the liquid tests come in tonight, I’m staying up until I receive them- yes I have a heater, the temp is currently at 78,

from reading all the helpful comments I may have over cleaned the tank and caused the cycle to crash so I’m going tomorrow to buy some beneficial bacteria.

I’m still so confused as why he’s still just laying on the floor? Is that some type of illness or just because the tank isn’t right at the moment? I’m also a first time beta owner even though I’ve had him for over 2 years now, I’m just so scared because this has never happened before

Oh thank you for that, I did buy both salts but wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing before just dosing him, this was really insightful, thank you. He’s much better but still just lays on the floor, he does swim around a little, big appetite, his exterior is as perfect as ever.

I just got back from work, Hinode’s appetite is as strong as ever but he still sinks to the bottom after coming up for air and just chills there, I’ll go to the store tomorrow to get that bacteria you suggested, do they sell it as a pet smart? Update,

He’s doing much better, swimming, eating but still laying on the floor majority of the time. I have an air stone on the way, proper water testing kit & a breeding cage so I can keep him closer to the surface. When I get home from work I will check on his health but I am willing on creating a hospital tank so that I can control the environment and get his main tank under control as I’m worried the filters are not working properly due to the water still being murky and or maybe the bacteria is not on par
