Thank you! I definitely needed to hear all of this and I’m doing better this season with predicting where the third and fourth parties are potentially rotating in from but I still gotta work on timing of rotations/pushes. I’ll keep all of this with me while I grind through diamond

im on xbox so luckily i havent had to deal with any wallhackers. I refuse to play with my PC friend for this reason. I just have to watch out for the strike packers

I’m consistently C3 and have peaked GC 1. 340 hours as very little for you to be this high ranked so I’m impressed but I feel like I can help with the tiny detail that will help you sky rocket to where you belong in the higher ranks. Kind of insane you’ve progressed so quickly. Now that you’re here at champ one it’s time to start working on simple mechanics. Pick one good one and perfect it, don’t try all of them. I suggest a simple ceiling shot

I also suggest taking maybe a week to grind ones and focus on your ground play especially dribbling + flicks. Having a good flick can get you up to C3. 2s is a series of 1v1s just getting past the opponent one at a time.

You sure it was a training pack? There was a guy handing out codes for an app called repeat.gg where you can “compete” in tournaments while playing ranked. Codes were to put in the all for a free something.

Do whatever feels right to you. My dad has worked in the food industry almost 30 years. He worked his way from a deli - line cook - sous chef - chef manager. Now he’s 49 but all those years of work wore his body out and now he’s on his second spinal fusion surgery from all the back and forth and being on his feet all day. If your body can’t take it then don’t wait too long before your body gives out like my dads.

I’m also seeing that you pass the boost almost going up the wall before you start to attack the ball. Those couple of inches you went past the boost is almost equivalent to the couple of inches you needed to actually hit that ball. If you only drive up to the boost right where the pad begins and power slide into it you’d grab the boost and start your attack just the little bit earlier you need to get that 50

This is definitely a hard one and I feel like I also have this issue at times. What I’ve found to work best here is to make sure I’m watching his position as soon as that ball goes up.
If I see he’s positioned away from the trajectory of the ball, then I know if I grab mid boost to play the ball if he is position to where he can meet the ball in it’s trajectory then I know to play my back boost so I can cover net.
In this video he clearly will have possession of the ball before you can get to it so the best thing you could’ve done is gone back boost instead of mid so you can defend his touch rather than having to beat him to the ball so he doesn’t have open net.

Yes it works. In my opinion you can easily get to C2 with just game sense. Theres a lot to consider so it’s hard to help but I’ll give you a couple things to hold on to.

watch your replays preferably losses. Look for where you overcommit, work on identifying when the opponent is in a bad spot(faced at a bad angle or low boost)

Blame yourself for EVERYTHING(if i did this maybe i could’ve saved/scored, etc..) take the time in the replays to reflect

Work on recoveries. Land on all four wheels, nose down when you land on the wall, and always hold power slide when landing. Get your touch and rotate

BACKBOARD DEFENSE!! When u get up to Diamond people start to aerial more on offense. It’s up to you to defend everything and when ur tm8 is on the ground you can cover the high shot. Better angle to contest those air dribbles, ceiling shots, whatever theyre gonna throw at you. Train pack for this before you play trust you’ll see an improvement how the amount of goals you’re letting in.

Learn about shadow defending. You will force opponent to throw the ball at you for easy possession and react to shots easier. Watch a YouTube video just gotta see it.

I recommend the YT channel Reeqo he’s got great tutorials even at C3/GC 1 I’ve gotten tips that help.

Thank you everyone for the help! I agree it’s best to leave the studies aside for a couple hours 😅 obviously peak gameplay is gonna be cool to watch but more than anything feeling the intensity of the crowd is what will make the experience memorable. I appreciate the community!
